IJveer Ferry Amsterdam
Monday 24 November the sea trail of the ferry IJveer 60 from GVB Amsterdam took place. 2 Electrical engineers from ZF sailed along during the trial and gave the people from GVB a good practice on the ZF systems. ZF has delivered 2x Well Mounted Azimuth Thruster type ZF AT 3111 WM , electrical driven, together with the ThrusterCommand control system for this vessel. IJveer 60 is the newest ferry in Amsterdam, able to transport about 310 people including (motor-)bikes. Over the years lots of Ferries from GVB are equipped with ZF thrusters. Whenever you visit Amsterdam, you will certainly see or even sail with one of these ferries. They bring you around everywhere in Amsterdam!

Ferry Ride to the Eye Film Museum in Amsterdam. Netherlands travel guide.
EYE is located in the Overhoeks neighborhood of Amsterdam in the Netherlands. It includes a cinematography museum formerly called Filmmuseum, founded in 1952. Its predecessor was the Dutch Historical Film Archive, founded in 1946. The Filmmuseum was situated in the Vondelparkpaviljoen since 1975. In 2009, The Nederlands Filmmuseum merged with Holland Film, the Netherlands Institute for Film Education and the Filmbank[1] and plans were announced for a new home on the north bank of Amsterdam's waterfront, just behind the Central Station and connected to it by a free ferry. It was officially opened on April 4, 2012 by Queen Beatrix. The EYE building was designed by Delugan Meissl Associated Architects, which specializes in buildings that appear to be in motion,

Amsterdam Holland
I felt lucky to be in Amsterdam to begin with, but to have the warmest day of the year so far at 24c was a real treat. The light was just perfect. The city was crowded and plenty of people out on the canals with their boats. I heard a few British voices during my walk around the city, but it was mostly locals enjoying the sunshine.
With the outbreak of spring weather, the budding plants and trees, and the appearance of insects I felt Tchaikovsky's Waltz of the Flowers was fitting. I hope you like it too.
Amsterdam is high on the to-do list of most weekend break travellers, but few consider the possibility of getting there by ferry. It's clearly a liability to have a car anywhere close to the city centre of Amsterdam, but with the comfort of modern cruise ferries, and their low price, this option is now becoming a serious option for the modern short break passenger.
Even living in central London, driving to the Port of Harwich takes about one and half hours, which is about the same amount of time it takes to travel to Heathrow, to check-in, and to get through the security checks. Even after all the hassle involved with getting airside, you still have to queue onto the plane, and suffer the Dickensian experience of being folded into your seat for at least an hour before getting our again. At Harwich, things are very different. You have literally acres of space to park. I found a space right at the foot of the stairway to the port terminal. You then simply walk across onto the boat with barely any queuing, occupy your cabin, switch the TV on, boil the kettle and get ready for either a big breakfast at the canteen or save yourself for a large lunch at the restaurant. If you've been to an airport recently you'll recognise why this is an attractive option.
Don't forget the guilty pleasure of driving up the A12 when it seems the rest of the world is heading into London for a day's work.
