An Bang Beach Vietnam
An Bang beach is a 10 minute taxi ride from Hoi An and well worth the trip for a relaxing hour or two. The beach goes for miles all the way to Da Nang. American soldiers called this stretch of sand China Beach.
Hoi An, Vietnam | Cham Island snorkelling tour, An Bang beach | Vietnam Travel
After visiting the city of Da Nang we hopped on our motor bikes and road to the ancient town of Hoi An, Vietnam.
We arrived in the evening and we were greeted by our Airbnb host in town who then guided us to our super cute rental home.
There is so much to see, and do and eat in Hoi An. We spent our days riding around on motor bikes checking out local areas such as the old quarter of Hoi An along the river. This area is packed full of restaurants and shops of every kind. It's a must-see near the Japanese bridge. Hundreds of lanterns fill every corner. There is so much incredible food choices. We spend a bit of time each day at the beautiful beach called An Bang beach. We explored the rice fields on bikes at Tra Que vegetable village between the town and An Bang beach where all the local vegetables come from. We went on a Basket Boat tour in the Coconut Forest. And spent the day at sea on a Cham Islands Snorkelling Day Tour.
We highly recommend visit this wonderful place.
Next up we visit Ho Chi Minh City , (commonly known as Saigon). Stay tuned!

#1 BEST BEACH, VIETNAM | 2017 |
The #1 beach in Hoi An, Vietnam. An Bang Beach Just a short ride from Hoi An’s UNESCO World Heritage centre and only 30 minutes from Da Nang, An Bang Beach a great way to get away from the packed tourist spots. Cua Dai Beach used to be the spot to go but suffering from severe erosion, An Bang now holds the crown as Hoi An’s go-to beach. Whether you want to hide under an sun umbrella, hang out at one the amazing bars or just plop yourself on the white sand, reserve at a day on your Hoi An itinerary for relaxing at An Bang Beach.

Review of An Bang Beach, Hoi An. A relaxing place - Vietnam Travel Guide
A brief overview of An Bang beach, which is about a mile north of Hoi An. This is a nice relaxed place to chill by the beach for a few days. I would say visit Hoi An but I personally didn't think it was that amazing, the old centre is very touristy. I would think the best place to stay is near the beach or somewhere on the edge of Hoi An as the countryside is very nice.
2018 Vietnam Vlog 5 | Ang Bang Beach | Hoi An Beach | Parasail | Beach Day
Had another sensational day on Ang Bang Beach near Hoi An Central Vietnam. Numerous beach cafes and also small restaurants serve the beach chairs which can be hired for a pittance for the day. Make sure you go Parasailing, but do not accept the first price, make sure you haggle.

An Bang Beach - Hoi An Vietnam
The best time to be at An Bang is dry season, which falls between March and September. During this time you can expect blistering sun, soaring temperatures and calm waters. For the price of drink, you can use a restaurant's sun lounger for the day. During the Vietnamese summer holiday months of June to August, the local Vietnamese crowd flood in for sunrise swims and sunset family beach barbecues.

Then we hunt out some awesome Bamboo Bridges, theres actually
loads of bridges in Hoi An and Vietnam, but this is one of the last surviving bamboo bridges. That made for a pretty fun travel vlog and a busy day going from An Bang Beach out to the super rural areas to travel Hoi An!

Top 7 Things to do in Hoi An, Vietnam
We shot this Top things to do in Hoi An, Vietnam video from what has become one of our favourite locations we've visited so far. Hoi An is simply an amazing must-visit city in Vietnam. We hope this video helps you get a glimpse into as much magic as we were able to capture during our 5 night stay in Hoi An, Vietnam.
If you're planning a trip to Vietnam, it should include a visit to Hoi An Ancient Town and you definitely need to stay from day until evening because everything changes at night. From the glowing silk lanterns to the row boats slowly drifting down the river. This little Hoi An old town is simply charming. Just be prepared for the big crowds to pack in during the evening and night time.
Remember to pick up your tickets from the ticket stations located around the Hoi An Ancient Town. Once you pay for this you can visit any 5 special attractions of your choice.
Some of the ticketed attractions we visited in Hoi An Old Town were:
1. Assembly Hall Of Fujian Chinese
Address: 46 Trần Phú, Cẩm Châu, Hội An, Quảng Nam, Vietnam
Hours: Monday - Sunday 7am–6pm
2. Japanese Covered Bridge
Address: Nguyễn Thị Minh Khai, Phường Minh An, Hội An, Quảng Nam 564010, Vietnam
3. Museum of Trade Ceramics Hoi An
80 Tran Phu St. | Minh An, Hoi An, Vietnam
Hours: Monday - Sunday 7am–6pm
You should also visit Hoi An Night Market in the Ancient Town. Cross the Hoi An bridge and you'll enter the night market. Much more enjoyable at night with all the boats running along and lanterns fully lit up. It is a very touristy area though so just be aware of the higher prices and crowds.
Chicken Rice Place (not sure if the Google marker/address is quite in the right place, but the shop name is Cơm Gà Hiền and the photos shown are correct in the map link!)
Cơm Gà Hiền
593 Hai Bà Trưng, Phường Minh An, Hội An, Quảng Nam 550000, Vietnam
If you're looking for a nice beach to relax in Hoi An has you covered.
There are 3 main beaches in Hoi An:
- An Bang Beach
- Tan Tanh Beach
- Cua Dai Beach
An Bang Beach will be the most busy so try Tan Tanh or Cua Dai if you're wanting more space to relax.
We also went to an ancient temple and UNESCO world heritage site called My Son Sanctuary to find out some of the amazing history of the Champa people who once lived in Vietnam. My Son Sanctuary is a must-visit when you're in Hoi An, Vietnam especially if you love history and ancient ruins.
The World Cultural Heritage My Son Sanctuary
Address: Duy Phú, Duy Xuyên District, Quang Nam Province, Vietnam
Hours: Monday - Sunday 6:30am–5:30pm

We Spent A Month in Beautiful Vietnamese Lantern Town of Hoi An and An Bang Beach.
We spent a month living on the beach at An Bang, just a short bike ride away from the beautiful lantern town of Hoi An in Vietnam.
Travelling to Hoi An with kids is not only safe, it's one of the easiest places to live abroad as a family. We were able to live off around $700 per month in a beautiful Airbnb villa and eat out in local restaurants 2-3 times a day, all for less than it cost us to live back home.
Vietnam is a gorgeous country and the Vietnamese are one of the kindest, most welcoming people we've met on our travels around the world.
This is a highlights reel of the best experiences we had as a family travelling to Vietnam.
