Shiraito falls: our visit to Shiraito no Taki Waterfalls, Japan
In May 2018 we visited Shiraito falls in Japan, near Mount Fuji, in an area called Fujinomiya.
Shiraito waterfalls' full name is: Shiraito no Taki Waterfalls (in Japanese: 白糸の滝 ), and within the nature park you can also find another waterfall called Otodome no Taki Waterfalls (or Otodome falls / Otodome waterfalls), and a little pool called Obinmizu Pool. These magnificent natural water features are found along part of the Shibakawa River in this beautiful countryside area of Japan. Japanese country at its best! :) The hiking walk to the falls is easy, even if you're not very fit like me! Just a short hike - more of a walk really - down a nature trail. I hope you enjoy this quick tour of Shirato falls from our visit.

One Hundred Sixteenth Episode: Itoshima. Shiraito Falls and the Beach
At the beginning of May in 2012 we took the family out to Itoshima located to the west of Fukuoka City. We went to Shiraito Falls and fished for Yamame (which were surprisingly delicious), did the somen flowing down the bamboo halfpipe thing (the name escapes me at the moment even though I just edited the video) and went and played on a beach. No idea what the beach's name is! :) It was a good day, and I really want to go back again once the weather warms up! There's more to see in Itoshima!

Nachi-no-taki Matsuri
This is a stunning fire festival held each year at Nachi Falls on the Wakayama peninsula. Highly recommend it if you are in the area in mid-July.
TOTORO and HARAJIRI FALLS - A Japanese Countryside Adventure
I spent a day exploring through the countryside of Southern Oita - specifically Saiki and Bungo-ono.
In Saiki, there is a bus stop called Totoro which has been decked out in to represent the famous Ghibli character. It is a functioning bus stop so if you wait long enough, a bus will come to pick you up (though, probably not the Catbus).
The other main site I set out to see this day was Harajiri Falls. This is a waterfall in Bungo Ono. It is nicknamed The Niagara of Japan which I personally don't agree with.
We finished off our countryside adventure with a walk across Utagenka Bridge and some firefly viewing.

Japan Road Trip: Fukuoka to Oita
On this video we take a road trip in Japan ( 日本ロードトリップ Nihon rōdotorippu ) from fukuoka to Oita and on the way we see lots of beautiful sights including... kokonoe yume otsurihashi bridge, the highest suspension bridge which is only for walkway in Japan. Right front of this bridge, you can see ‘Shindo-no-taki’ or ‘Medaki’ which are selected as ‘100 beautiful waterfalls in Japan’. Beyond the bridge, the great forest of Narukogawa-Keikoku. after that we had Japanese, i order a local favorite from Oita Chicken tempura... and it was ( おいしい Oishī ) delicious!!

Japan Explored: Part 2 - Tokyo and water falls!
In part two of Japan Explored we explore Tokyo further and hop on a bullet train straight to Karuizawa. After a few minor speed bumps in our travel plans we explore the mountainous area and make it to the stunning Shiraito Falls for some beautiful scenery.

Autumn Fall in Shiraito Japan - DJI Phantom 3 Standard
Took a drive into the mountains as I wanted to film the fall autumn leaves. Overall really happy with how it looked and as always I learn new techniques and methods.

LIFE IN FUKUOKA | Sugao Waterfall
A bicycle ride took me to one of the most beautiful places in Kitakyushu City, south Kokura ward, Fukuoka Japan. Sugao Waterfall has to be one of my favorite places to visit during all seasons as I've visited Sugao Waterfall on numerous occasions, however, this time around there was something out of the norm -- water levels had risen around the waterfall area and the waterfall itself seemed to have increased in size. Check out the video for further details ;)
Scenes were shot with both Samsung Galaxy III & GoPro HERO 2.
