THE COVENTRY CANAL & THE ANCHOR
Wednesday 22nd January 2014 was a pleasant day, which was good news as I was out early Househunting. Having seen a nice property I then celebrated with a pint of Thatcher's Gold at the Anchor Inn in Glascote, whilst enjoying songs from Bruno Mars & Michael Buble on a modern Juke Box. I captured a video featuring The Coventry Canal which runs alongside The Anchor Inn, to remind me of a pleasant time.

The Coventry Canal Nuneaton Part 2
At Norbury Junction on the Shropshire Union Canal
It is a lovely sunny August afternoon stroll to Norbury Junction, a chance to relax and watch the boats chug by, and maybe paint a picture, or admire some traditional canal art.
Cat Gallows access closed
The Cat Gallows has been an access point on to the Coventry Canal in Nuneaton for over 100 years. It is also an important walking route to the town centre from Greenmoor Road area. In order to solve an issue with ASB the county council and Canal & rivers trust (CRT) closed off access to the canal towpath.
Stratford Canal Wootton Wawen to Preston Bagot (time lapse)
A dash over two miles of the Stratford-on-Avon Canal from the Wootton Wawen Aqueduct to Preston Bagot Bottom Lock No 38
As the bridge holes on the Stratford Canal are tighter than ducks arses it will come as no surprise that we see the odd bit of bridge twatting
There are excellent moorings just below Preston Bagot Bridge. The nearby Crabmill in Preston Bagot is a good pub with great food. More info can be found at:
