And so in 1994, ex-Buddhist monk Josen Takano decided to build one of the world's greatest UFO museums. This garment is called noragi in Japanese. Noragi means clothes for doing farm work or working in fields.
This worker's noragi is from a rural area in Shiga Ken, near Osaka. It was worn by a field worker for protection against the cold. It is heavy weight, handmade, hand woven (sakiori), homespun fabrics with natural indigo dyes.

Welcome to the eighth episode of my Japan Trip 2017 vlog series.
This episode Itchy and Rodier visit Iga Ueno Castle, Itchy also spots a real Ninja in the area. The following day, they climb the mountain where the Takeda Castle Ruins reside in Asago, Hyōgo prefecture and admire the scenery whilst being the only visitors there. The next day, they look at the fully bloomed Cherry Blossoms in Osaka. This vlog also contains their last day in Osaka before heading to Hiroshima.
Rodier's Weeb level has once again risen...
We were in Japan from 30th March 2017 - 4th May 2017. Expect plenty of videos! If you ever wish to visit Japan, I highly recommend getting a Japan Rail Pass. With this Rodier and I were able to travel via JR Trains & Shinkansen (Bullet Train) to a great amount of places throughout Japan as many times as we wanted with no extra cost.

Ancient Japanese Mound Tomb - Chasuriyama Kofun
Chasuriyama Kofun is a large mound tomb in Hyogo Prefecture built in the 5th Century AD. It's 90 meters in diameter and 18 meters tall, the largest mound tomb in the area. Kofun were mound tombs built in Japan from the 3rd Century to the 7th Century for emperors, kings, governors, nobles, and chieftains.
I was staying in the area and decided to check it out with some friends one morning.
