Ancient Culture Street, Tianjin places of interest Guwenhua Jie, is a cultural tourist attraction place on the west bank of the Hai River in Nankai District, Tianjin, China. It is regarded as a AAAAA scenic area by the China National Tourism Administration.
Tianjin Ancient Culture Street was formally unfolded on New Year's Day in 1986. It conserve the ancient architectural style of the Qing dynasty, with its Niangniang Palace, the Temple of the Queen of Heaven (Tianhou Palace), honoring the sea-goddess Mazu in its geographical center.
Ancient Cultural Street begins from Gongbei Avenue in the north, and ends at Gongnan Avenue in the south, being 750 yards (687 meters) long and 16 feet (5 meters) wide. Though fundamentally a business street, it attracts to come and see its many special ancient architectural styles stores along the street.
Visitors and tourists look up to its oldclassic cultural features, buy various folk crafts, and sample the delicious local snacks. Most importantly, as visitors and tourists take a walk there, they will be in particularly impressed by the splendiferous replica of the old ancient classical architecture in the folk style of the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911).
