燕子岩是整個古採石場遺址的精華所在，每逢清晨或傍晚，成群結隊的燕子在懸崖峭壁間游弋盤旋，在高逾百尺的石縫間築巢搭臼，燕子岩因之得名。
景點內峭壁嵯峨，巨石橫空，氣勢逼人。從崖下的小徑向上仰望，四面崖壁連環對峙，奇峰突屹，廣闊的天空被縮成一方天井，巍峨巨石好像隨時都會崩塌下墜，令人目眩神搖，膽顫心驚。沿燕子岩下的小徑拾級而上，沿途可以目睹許多奇形怪狀的巨石，有的斷面平整，像刀削似的；有的石壁深陷，像個巨大的神龕；有些屹立於水中，直指藍天，仿如擎天一柱。但大家要記得這些並非大自然的傑作，而是千百年來先人用斧鑿劈成的，是中華民族勤勞智慧的結晶。
otus Mountain (lián huā shān 蓮花山) is the famous scenic area in Guangdong Province. Located at the riverside of Lion River , the mouth Pearl River, Panyu District , Lotus Mountain consists of 48 red hills and has a maximum elevation of 108 meters, covering the area of 2.54 square kilometers. On the mountain there is a Kylin Peak, and the Lotus Mountain is named after the rock which is like lotus in shape on the kylin Peak.
In ancient times, Lotus Mountain is a stone quarry. After hundreds of years' mining there form the abrupt cliffs and fancy caves which is a good combination of the unique scenery combining the natural beauty and man-made sites. The main scenic spots there are Lotus Rock (lián huā yán 蓮花岩), Swallow Rock (yàn zǐ yán 燕子岩), Baxian Rock (bā xiān yán 八仙岩) . . . . .

The lavish Five-star cave hotel being built in an abandoned Chinese quarry
- Construction has started on a hotel resort that will nestle into the 100 metre-high rockface of an abandoned water-filled quarry outside Shanghai.
- A huge waterfall will pour down from the roof of the 19-storey hotel complex, which will have part of its body built into the cave and two of its floors submerged beneath the water.
- An extreme-sports facility will be cantilevered over the quarry, offering rock climbing and bungee jumping, and there will also be an underwater restaurant facing a ten-metre deep aquarium.
- The Songjiang Hotel is designed by UK architecture firm Atkins. Construction has just begun and will take up to three years, although the hotel could open in 2015.
- Once complete, the hotel will offer around 400 rooms, as well as conference facilities for up to 1000 people, a banqueting hall, restaurants, a swimming pool and a water-sports centre.
- The building will use geothermal technologies to generate its own electricity and lighting, while greenery will blanket a roof that extends just two storeys above the edge of the quarry.
- Sustainability is integral to Atkins' design of this unique resort, built into an abandoned, water-filled quarry.
- Our design solution includes the use of green roofing and exploiting the site's geothermal heat to generate electricity and heating. A naturally-lit internal atrium incorporates the existing rock face, with its waterfalls and green vegetation.
- People could view the hundred-meter high waterfall from their room window.
- 'The hotel is part of the larger project to build Shimao Shanghai Wonderland, a large-scale theme park.'

International Budhist Temple also known as Guan-Yin Temple is one of the biggest buddhist temple in the world outside the China. This temple has been modeled after Beijing’s Forbidden City in China and is open to the public. It is located at 9160 Steveston Highway, near historic Steveston village.
