Phuket & The Phi Phi Islands Jewel of the Andaman
Sailing Phuket and the Phi Phi archipelago in Thailand.
We filmed this over a week aboard a catamaran in Phuket. Having never before sailed in Asia, I wasn't sure what to expect. But surrounded in emerald-green waters amongst dozens of scattered limestone towers, I soon found this place to be one of the most beautiful I'd been to. Exploring the natural tunnels and open-ceiling caves (hongs in Thai), I was overwhelm by discovery and mystery -- and realized these islands looked like the ones in my dreams.
We circled through Phi Phi and Ao Phang Nga. Some of the islands we visited include Ko Phi Phi, Ko Yao Noi, Ko Dam, Ko Poda, Ko Roi, Ko Kudzu Yai, Ko Phanak, Ko Hong Krabi, and Ko Phing Kan (James Bond Island).
A huge thanks to The Moorings for letting us use their boat. The Moorings 4800 catamaran was gorgeous and a pleasure to sail.

The Best Time To Visit Thailand 2019 !
▶ When is the best time to visit Thailand? Where to go when and how to avoid monsoon season, from Bangkok to the beaches, from Koh Samui to Koh Lanta
▶The best time to visit Thailand depends exactly where you're going. The islands on one side of the country have a slightly different rainy season to those on the other; the good news is that this extends Thailand's dry, sunny season. So if it's rainy and grey in one place, it's a short hop over the coast to sunshine on the other side.
▶Basically, December to March are the best months to go to Thailand - though as with any tropical destination, a short and ridiculously torrential burst of rain is unpredictably possible, even on the sunniest of days.
▶The Thai islands in the Gulf of Thailand - Koh Samui, Koh Phangan, Koh Tao - tend to get less rain than the rest of the country (even in rainy season), and are at their best from the end of January until mid March. January is the freshest month - great for after the Christmas and NYE party chaos. February is the driest month, one of the sunniest, and the heat still bearable; and March is sunny and dry, too.
▶Over on Thailand's west coast and the Andaman Sea - where you'll find the Thai islands of Phuket, Krabi, Koh Lanta, Koh Phi Phi -the optimum time for a beach holiday is slightly earlier, in December and January, when fresher weather, maximum sunshine and minimum rainfall combine to create the best climate for a beach holiday.
▶ The 32 best winter sun destinations
Bangkok, meanwhile, is stultifyingly humid practically all the time (discomfort levels range from 'high' to 'extreme' year-round), but the best time to visit Thailand's capital is December and January, when it is dry and a relatively bearable 31-32ºC average during the day, and 20ºC at night (the coolest Bangkok ever gets). When not to go to Bangkok: avoid the months of April and September. April is unbearably hot and humid; September is hot, humid and torrentially wet.
▶ Chiang Mai and the lovely little town of Pai, in Thailand's cooler north, have much more pleasant climates than Bangkok and the south. Go from December to February for lovely sunny days (around 29ºC) and cooler evenings (the temperature dips to 13ºC - and even lower in the highlands, so dig out some warm clothes if you're trekking).
▶ The time to not go to Thailand is the rainy season, from May to October, when monsoons blow in from all directions.

THAILAND VLOG 1: PHUKET 1ST DAY, PA TONG BEACH, BANGLA ROAD, SURF HOUSE & LOT OF STREET FOOD
PATONG is a beach resort town on the west coast of Phuket Island, facing the Andaman Sea in the southwest of Thailand. Its sandy, crescent beach is lined with cafes, restaurants and bars. The famously raucous nightlife scene features beer bars, go-go bars, nightclubs, massage parlors and cabarets that overflow into the street along neon-lit Bangla Road and in the Patong OTOP
THANON BANGLA
Bangla Road, Patong, in Phuket is notoriously named for its very energetic and lively nightlife. Bangla Road is a must visit if you head to Phuket. The nightlife is at the top of its game. It is literally packed with a ridiculous amount of bars, go-go bars, girly bars, ex-pat bars.
As soon as the sun starts to set, Bangla Road closes off the traffic. The neon lights and bars start to become lively. The music from all the bars starts to intertwine with each other. It becomes noisy, fun and energetic.

TOP 5 things to do in 2020 | PHUKET, Thailand |
From our time in PHUKET, Thailand, we have short listed our favourite 5 things to do in Phuket.
#1 - Beaches, Activities & Food Stall
Few islands can boast of such an abundance of sandy beaches and clear waters as Phuket. The winding coastal roads along the west coast of this 540-square-km island offer stunning views and easy access to some of the world's finest beaches. The most popular beaches are Kata, Karong and Patong Beach. As well as relaxing, there is many water sports activities to do at the beach. Such as Jet-skiing, Banana ride, swimming,, Para-sailing, etc. And for those who love a drink or food next to the beach, there are many food stalls, and bars near by.
#2 - Elephant Jungle Sanctuary
The Elephant Jungle Sanctuary, the most ethical sanctuary in Phuket, it gives curious visitors a unique opportunity to interact with magnificent elephants in the safety and security of their natural home. Their trained English-speaking guides give visitors insight into the behavior and the personal history of their animals, while their mahouts help people realize incredible life experiences such as bathing elephants in Phuket or feeding them by hand.
#3 - The Flying Hanuman
Flying Hanuman is a zip line adventure like no other on Phuket. It shows that the island’s beauty goes far beyond the sea, sun, and sand that it is famous for. The hillsides of Phuket overflow with thick forest that is great for exploration and outdoor activities.

Phuket's Big Buddha is one of the most important and revered landmarks on the island. The huge Buddha sits on top of the Nakkerd Hills between Chalong and Kata and, at 45 metres tall, can be seen from as far away as Phuket Town and Karon Beach. The lofty site offers the best 360-degree views of the island, with sweeping vistas of Phuket Town, Kata, Karon, Chalong Bay and more. Relatively easily reachable via a winding 6-km road leading from Phuket's main artery route, it's a must-visit island destination.
Deep Sea Port Phuket Town
This is Phuket's deepest port and deals with the big fishing and timber vessels that work work their way around asian waters.

Twinpalms Phuket Resort 4k | Surin Beach, Thailand | Top things to do in Phuket | Phuket Resort
Twinpalms Phuket Resort is situated on the West Coast of Thailand in the Andaman sea. This review also covers some of the top things to do in Phuket no matter where on the island you are. Across the street from Surin beach, Twinpalms Phuket Resort is just a 30-minute cab or shuttle ride from the Phuket International Airport with fares of around $25-30 one-way.
#Phuket #TwinPalmsPhuketResort #Thailand
Upon arrival at Twinpalms Phuket Resort, you will be greeted with a welcome drink and lemon-scented hand towels to help you cool down. After a quick check-in and overview of the amenities, you’ll be walked to your room.
All rooms at Twinpalms Resort come with a balcony or covered porch. But if you can, most ground level rooms come with a retractable sliding door that provides access to a private swimming area. It the perfect retreat to enjoy a meal or drink before or after a quick dip. If you are looking to grab your own drinks to either take with you to the beach or just sip around the resort, there is a convenience store a few doors down that sells beer, wine, and liquor.
Twinpalms Phuket Resort also offers many other amenities, such as a couple clothing stores, an on-site restaurant, as well as a gym and spa. They can also support in booking any excursions.
Directly across from the resort is Surin beach. Great for catching some sun or swimming. The water can get quite rough, but there are lifeguards on duty usually to monitor swimmers. They also have warning signs planted if the water is too dangerous for swimming at Surin Beach.
Another amenity of Twinpalms Phuket Resort is access to Catch Beach Club located on Bang Tao beach. It has a full bar and restaurants, along with beach chairs and water sports equipment that you can rent. They also have cabanas that can be rented. The resort offers a free shuttle to and from that leaves on the hour, otherwise, it's about a 20-minute walk from Catch Beach Club back to Twinpalms Phuket Resort.
Just down from Catch Beach Club is the Palm Seaside bar and restaurant which is a perfect place for some fine dining if you are looking for a nice place to dine or evening drinks.

Top Things to do in Phuket
If you are looking for some activities away from Twinpalms, one of the top things to do in Phuket would be taking a day trip to Koh Phi Phi Le (Phi Phi Island). Ferries take about an hour and a half to get to Phi Phi Island and leave the Rassada Pier in Phuket Town at 8:30 or 10:30am.
Phi Phi Island Video:
Once to Phi Phi Island, many people want to venture to Maya Bay and Pileh Bay, which was made famous in “The Beach” starring Leonardo DiCaprio. You can rent a longtail boat for the day for around 2,000 Baht which will take you out to Maya Bay to enjoy some snorkeling and swimming.
Another top thing to do in Phuket would be taking an hour or so drive up to Phang-nga National Park and taking a boat tour, which includes James Bond island and the floating village of Koh Panyi.
Lastly, you can choose to head up to the Elephant Jungle Sanctuary. Once to the Elephant Sanctuary, you will prepare bananas to feed to the elephants and shortly afterward bathing the elephants in mud water.
Hope this video helps in planning your next trip to Phuket. We highly recommend the Twimpalms Phuket Resort and would absolutely stay there again.

I went to Phuket for a refreshing school holiday. I took some shots, edited it, and here it is.
Phuket, a rainforested, mountainous island in the Andaman Sea, has some of Thailand’s most popular beaches, mostly situated along the clear waters of the western shore. The island is home to many high-end seaside resorts, spas, and restaurants.
