Andhakaranazhy is a coastal village located 4 km west of Pattanakkad .yeah ! located off the Kochi-Aleppey grid.
Famous for its beach which draws a number of domestic and international tourists. as a kochian we can say like, it's not much crowded as in fortkochi and cherai beach. So we hoon to here. afterall beach should be more peaceful right. Although we select beach to complete one day and add some colours isn't it.
It's an ideal beach to spend some time during evening looking at the sunset as well as the waves which gives you a soothing feeling to mind as well as body. Not that attractive for bathing but one certainly wet your legs for a feel of the beach. Just enjoy the beautiful sunsenty, silence of the place, happiness around.

You drive past large tracts of organic paddy fields and vegetable farms. You saunter along, hemmed in by water bodies rich in shrimps, harvested by magnificent old-world Chinese nets. You drive past a railway crossing and climb over a newly-built bridge. You reach the beach.

TOURIST PLACE in Alappuzha - ANDHAKARANAZHI BEACH located in Cherthala, Alappuzha District
It is a very beautiful sea shore in Pattanakkad panchayath of Cherthala, Alappuzha Dist. in Kerala. It is in the side of national highway from Cherthala to Ernakulam. One can take left turn from Padmakshi junction, just 200 meters north of Ponnamveli Junction when you come from Cherthala side. As it is a shallow and clean beach, you can enjoy playing with waves and watch beautiful sunset. There is no life guard to watch you here. So be careful. For your better health, take food also with you.
