The Andretta Pottery Oldest studio pottery of India is a beautiful place to visit in Himachal Pradesh. It is located in the heart of the artist village, Andretta. Just a few kilometres from Palampur. The production studio of Andretta Pottery and Craft Society, run by Mansimran Singh, Son of famous potter Gurcharan Singh.

Andretta is a prosperous little village tucked up thirteen kilometers away from Palampur in Kangra district. Known for its studio pottery, it has been a hub of cultural and artistic activity since a long time. It attracts not only aspiring and established studio potters, but many talented artists: theater persons, painters, dancers and musicians. Sobha Singh, a painter from Lahore; B.C. Sanyal, the noted sculptor and painter; Gurucharan Singh, and Norah Richards formed the nucleus that turned Andretta into what it is.

Check out road from Palampur to Andretta. I drived on 29th April, 2018 from Palampur to Andretta to see the Sobha Singh art gallery. Road is really good and not much traffic is there at that time.
Art & Cultural Studies in Andretta - A Mini Documentary
A classroom project exploring art and cultural roots in Andretta Pottery, Himachal Pradesh. The project was done as a part of curriculum in the second semester of Information Design course at National Institute of Design (April 2017).
