With the drone at Mahon Pool, Maroubra (NSW, Sydney)
Sydney is famous for its several swimming pools in front of the ocean. This is Mahon Pool, in Maroubra. From there you can just walk 2 minutes and you will be able to see all the coast of Sydney! absolutely an amazing landscape!!
Sydney Walks MacCallum Pool, Cremorne Foreshore Reserve
MacCallum Pool, on the western side of Cremorne Point, is an exceptional harbourside pool with outstanding views & great water. Its timber deck is an unparalleled spot - chiefly on winter afternoons. The surrounding area was identified as Wulworra-Jeung by the Cammeraygal, the Aboriginal people who inhabited the land on the lower northern shores of Port Jackson prior to the arrival of Europeans. It was originally a rock pool created by community residents to form a protected harbour swimming pool. The architectural style of the present pool dates back to the 1920s and was reinstated by North Sydney Council in 1985-86.The 1920s entry fee was 50 cents, today free.

This lil beauty is right on our doorstep - though the water is still a lil nippy this time of year, so no skinny dipping just yet! Wetsuit ahoy!

Travelling to Sydney and never been to Woolloomooloo? Here are some more interesting things about Woolloomooloo.
Woolloomooloo is a harbourside, inner-city eastern suburb of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. Woolloomooloo is 1.5 kilometres east of the Sydney central business district, in the local government area of the City of Sydney. It is in a low-lying, former docklands area at the head of Woolloomooloo Bay, on Sydney Harbour. The Domain sits to the west, the locality of East Sydney is near the south-west corner of the suburb and the locality of Kings Cross is near the south-east corner. Potts Point is immediately to the east.
Woolloomooloo was originally a working-class district of Sydney and has only recently changed with the gentrification of the inner city areas of Sydney. The redevelopment of the waterfront, particularly the construction of the housing development on the Finger Wharf, has caused major change.

Woolloomooloo is home to the Finger Wharf, known for its remarkable size. It is 400 metres (1,310 ft) long and 63 m (210 ft) wide and stands on 3,600 piles.
The Sydney Harbour Trust built the Finger Wharf, or Woolloomooloo Wharf, between 1911 and 1915 with the charter to bring order to Sydney Harbour's foreshore facilities. The wharf became the largest wooden structure in the world. The area's commerce was dominated by shipping at the wharf and by the regular influx of sailors and officers from the Garden Island base of the Royal Australian Navy.
In the mid-1990s the wharf was renovated into 300 private residential apartments and a boutique hotel with 104 guest rooms. It also has several restaurants and bars, including the popular Water Bar, frequented by many visiting celebrities. At first the hotel was launched as W Sydney - Woolloomooloo and was the W Hotels brands' first internationally launched property outside of the United States. The hotel's licensing expired in 2007 and rebranded as Blue Hotel, managed by Taj Hotels & Resorts. Notable residents include actor Russell Crowe, who lives in a $14 million penthouse which as a result has become famous in Australia and abroad and one of the most expensive and sought after places in the country. Another prominent resident is controversial former Australian radio presenter John Laws.

Broken Hill Regional Aquatic Centre Pool Redevelopment
The multi-million dollar redevelopment of the North Family Play Centre Pool (now the Broken Hill Regional Aquatic Centre) was always considered as a multi-stage development. Currently, the redevelopment is in stage 2 and 3 which includes;
• The refurbishment of the 25m pool and enclosing it to make it suitable for year round operation
• The replacement of the Toddler Pool and the Program Pool with a new combined water play area and program pool
• The demolition of the existing entry, kiosk, change houses and old manager's office and replacing them with new facilities. The kiosk will also be demolished and replaced with an expanded kiosk/café that would serve a greater range of food
• The construction of a multifunction room that can be used for special events and meetings
• The consolidation of all plant and equipment in the one area and the demolition of the old plant room
• The construction of a new indoor hydrotherapy pool
• Fencing and landscaping
• Roadworks and provision of additional parking facilities
LIFE – the show | Sydney Festival 2020
From Strut & Fret, the mad-genius makers behind LIMBO (Sydney Festival 2014 and 2015) and Cantina (Sydney Festival 2013), comes a joyful celebration of what it means to be alive – from first meeting to first mating, from birth-control to breastfeeding, and beyond.
Charge your glass, raise your hands and let the cast of international prodigies and deviants take you on an adventure into hedonistic theatrical anarchy.
Be warned: this show contains drug references, full frontal nudity, attempted pyrokinesis and adult concepts (AKA exactly what you’re expecting).
