Mt Edith Cavelle, the Angel Glacier in Spectacular Jasper National Park!
Mt Edith Cavell is simply put one of the absolutely most fantastic places to be on the Planet Earth.
It's only open a few months of the year (late June to mid Sept), and no busses are allowed up.
Located just a 45 minute scenic drive both from Sunwapta Falls Resort and Jasper (it's sort of in between us!), Mt Edith Cavell is named after a WWI nurse who was an accomplished nurse credited for the launching Belgium's first nursing journal as well as leading nursing training in several hospitals and kindergartens.
Cavell was an unmitigated humanitarian and during her time as a nurse in the Great War, she treated patients from any side.
She gave her life treating an estimated 200 Allied troops along with persecuted Belgian men and helping them escape from German occupied Belgium to the Netherlands and Britain.
Cavell was famous for her statement that Patriotism is not enough.... I can't stop as long as there are lives to be saved. It is fitting that her name be married with the Angel Glacier.
While there is an optional 8km hike through the Cavell meadows, this video depicts the shorter walk to the spectacular glacial pool at the foot of the Angel Glacier.

Glacier Skywalk - Jasper National Park, Alberta, Canada
The Glacier Skywalk is a Nice attraction in the Columbia Ice fields. It starts at the Glacier Discovery Centre and involves a short bus ride to the actual Glacier Skywalk platform. The installed interpretive centre and glass-bottomed Skywalk actually overlooks the beautiful Valley and waterfalls.

Angel Glacier, with its long wings spreading horizontally, is located on the northeastern slope of Mount Edith Cavell. The glacier has formed a small lake at its base known as Cavell Pond.
Athabasca Falls is a waterfall in Jasper National Park on the upper Athabasca River, approximately 30 kilometres south of the townsite of Jasper, Alberta, and just west of the Icefields Parkway. A powerful, picturesque waterfall, Athabasca Falls is not known so much for the height of the falls (23 metres), as it is known for its force due to the large quantity of water falling into the gorge.

Nous nous sommes rendus au lac Maligne dans le but d'effectuer la croisière de 90 minutes vers Spirit Island.
Nous avions déjà effectué une réservation le matin afin de nous assurer d'avoir nos places disponibles sur la croisière de 16h00.
Il y a des départs à toutes les heures. Cependant, je pense qu'il est préférable d'effectuer une réservation au préalable, étant donné que c'est un attrait touristique majeur dans cette région.
On y retrouve un centre de visiteurs, une boutique ainsi qu'un restaurant.
Le site est incroyablement pittoresque. Le lac Maligne, aux eaux turquoises, est entouré par d'imposants sommets montagneux qui rivalisent en beauté.
S'étendant sur 22 km, il est le plus grand lac naturel des Rocheuses canadiennes.
Lorsque la croisière débute, nous sommes invités à demeurer à l'intérieur du bateau, le temps que l'on nous donne de l'information sur le déroulement de l'activité ainsi que sur les consignes de sécurité.
Par la suite, libre à chacun de se rendre sur le pont arrière extérieur. C'est ce que nous avons fait. L'air est cependant plutôt frais. Alors, il est préférable d'être vêtu chaudement pour pouvoir en profiter pleinement.
La croisière nous permet de bénéficier de sensationnels points de vue du lac, des montagnes, des glaciers et surtout de Spirit Island, un des endroits les plus photographiés des Rocheuses canadiennes.
Spirit Island est une tout petite île située au milieu du lac Maligne. Le paysage est vraiment exceptionnel.
On y fait un arrêt d'une quinzaine de minutes, le temps de prendre quelques photos et de s'imprégner de la sérénité des lieux.
Nous avons adoré l'expérience. Il faut dire que nous avons fait cette croisière dans des conditions très favorables: le soleil était au rendez-vous et le vent était absent.
Pour votre satisfaction personnelle, et si vous en avez la possibilité, assurez-vous d'obtenir les prévisions météorologiques pour ce secteur avant d'effectuer la réservation d'une croisière.
Ainsi, vous pourrez profiter pleinement des différents panoramas et ne reviendrez certainement pas déçus de votre expérience.

Definitely a MUST on your bucket list! I couldve used a better drone but meh, it is what it is. and im saving up for a better one sooo hopefully on my next destinations. i will have a better drone. :)
