While in Siem Reap I went on an epic food tour with Angkor Street Eats, led by local guide, Kun. Throughout the duration of the evening I tried dozens of new foods and drinks that completely exceeded my expectations.
The tour provides a bevy of unique, authentically khmer dishes as well as a few adventure eating courses that will really test your palette. These are foods and places that you will not find on your own near any tourist areas.
Beyond the amazing food, my guide Kun, was a beacon of knowledge. Since he grew up in Siem Reap, he is literally a part of its history. He told stories about conflicts within the country, the ways Siem Reap has changed over the years and of course, all about the food.
I would highly recommend this tour to anyone going to Siem Reap. You will not find an experience like this anywhere else.

Street Food in Siem Reap - Dinner in front of Angkor Wat Temple
When you visit Angkor Wat temple in Siem Reap province, you not only enjoy the great temples but you can have a great meal for lunch and dinner as they have food stalls serving khmer foods like grilled chicken, grilled stuffed frogs, grilled fish skewer, steamed rice and many many more foods and drinks. In this video, we bought grilled chicken and grilled fishes for our dinner in front of Angkor Wat temple in the evening. It was a beautiful place by the lake and good feeling but one bad thing is trashes everywhere as people don't really care about environment and the face of Cambodia to the world. This is a really bad habit of Khmer people not only in Siem Reap but also other places including Phnom Penh people. We should educate the next generation about putting trashes in trash bin.
Thank you very much for watching. Please LIKE, SUBSCRIBE, and SHARE this video to all Khmers and the world.
Your support is a huge encouragement for me as a Khmer to continue sharing the tourist attraction places in Cambodia to all Khmer and the World and bring more tourists to Cambodia.

Khmer Set 8 Course Dinner including Amok at Angkor Palms Restaurant in Siem Reap, Cambodia
For dinner we headed off to visit Angkor Palms restaurant located in the heart of Siem Reap - just off of Pub street - to try their highly recommended platter 8 course meal set that included Amok, Mango Salad, Fried Spinach, Fresh Spring Rolls, Green Coconut Chicken Curry, Spareribs Pork, Rice and Banana Tapioca pudding for dessert along with a coconut and mango smoothie. It was a glorious feast that satisfied our taste buds and then some. Coming in at $14 for the meal and $3 for the drinks it was a pricier meal (by Cambodian standards) but having the opportunity to have an authentic Cambodian dinner with multiple courses made it well worth it in our opinion. Today we are having a feast of a dinner. We are at a Cambodian restaurant and we have just ordered ourselves an eight course meal.
This restaurant is called Angkor Palms and it is highly recommended, so we have high expectations for this meal.
Right now I am trying the fresh spring rolls and I think they have rice noodles inside, so let's see. Woah, that is a mega bite!
That was a really good spring roll. It had some very fresh and zesty flavors and a little bit of seafood as well; so far so good.
Next up, we have the spare ribs and these do look good. It just melts in your mouth.
Next up we are trying the Amok, which is one of the most popular dishes in Cambodia. Amok is fish that has been coated in a coconut cream and then baked in a banana leaf. Did it hit the spot? Um-hmmmm. And she takes a second bite before I get any.
This is the one thing that I'm probably the most excited about - the homemade green curry with chicken. I've got a slice chicken. Wow, I can really taste the curry. Once again, just like the spare ribs, it just melts in your mouth and I barely even have to chew. Is it coconut based? I don't think it is that strongly based, no.
Up next is our shaved mango salad, which has some peanuts and mint leaves on top. Sweet? It is sweet? It is also nice and crunchy because of the peanuts. It has some nice spices and is really flavorful. You just took a second bite. And last but certainly not least is the fried water spinach. That is tasty. It has kind of a butter-y garlic flavor.
Time for dessert. Tell us what you are having? To finish off we've got a sweet little treat - a tapioca based pudding with banana. Oh, take a big bite. Oh yeah, it is so sweet and so good.
We have finished our feast of a dinner. I must admit, when I first saw the platter being brought over I thought 'hmmm, is this for two people? I think I could probably eat my own but in the end we still have food leftover. That was just so much to eat. It was so tasty but it was really filling at the same time. So, it was good stuff - it was a good dinner.
The 8 course platter is $14 for two people. For those who want to come here this restaurant is located right in the heart of Siem Reap nearby the Central Market. You can't miss it.

Over a million tourists a year pass through Siem Reap, making it the fastest growing place in Cambodia outside of Phnom Penh, the capital city. The temples in Angkor are Siem Reap’s biggest draw, attracting upwards of a million foreign visitors a year. The lake is an ideal launching point for a visit to traditional Cambodian floating villages. Here you can experience a visit to a local school for orphans. Siem Reap is a great tropical food destination that attracts a lot of attention from visitors, especially from western countries. The best nightlife in Siem Reap is concentrated within Pub Street. Highly suggested is Angkor Night Market.

Cambodian Food Tour in Siem Reap!
Another souvenir from my latest trip to Asia, sorry took a while to get it out to you! I finally made it to Cambodia. I went with an intention to see Angkor Wat, but I was almost more excited to experience the cuisine. Cambodia and Thailand have access to the same ingredients and share very similar roots, so I was very interested to see in what ways the two cuisines are similar and different.
I was so lucky to have a wonderful tour guide, Sam of SR Group, because he himself is a foodie, and happens to also be a fan of Hot Thai Kitchen! Obviously, we had no shortage of great food during this trip. Hope you enjoy the video and thank you for watching!

Dinner at Pub Street in Siem Reap Town
We took a TukTuk from the Cambodian Cultural village to Pub Street in Kong Siem Reap for dinner. It's a beautiful family day in Siem Reap town. The TukTuk dropped us off at the entrance to Pub Street, we walked from there to Pub Street and walked into a Khmer Restaurant for dinner. Raby ordered French Fried and Avocado shake, Rawin ordered just Lemon honey milk shake. My wife ordered bamboo-shoot fish soup and fried mixed vegetable with steamed rice. We all ate dinner until full, we paid and walked out to the street. Rawin wanted fried ice-cream rolls, it's 10,000riel (USD2.50) and Raby wanted 2 pancakes for 6000riel (USD1.50). Pancake is 3000riel each. We then wandered around Pub Street and walked back to our Hotel and take some rest.

Cambodia EPIC Street Food Tour ????????
What is it like for night time here in Siem Reap, Cambodia ? Today we did the street food tour on vespa around Siem Reap, experienced the night scene, explored Cambodian night market, tried out different cambodian cuisine and got the recommendation on what we totally think that first timers visiting Cambodia must. Have you ever wondered what do they eat in Cambodia or particularly what they do at night here in Cambodia ? Check out this video for more information to help you see what to expect from the food, nightlife and night market here.
Siem Reap, a resort town in northwestern Cambodia, is the gateway to the ruins of Angkor, the seat of the Khmer kingdom from the 9th–15th centuries. Angkor’s vast complex of intricate stone buildings includes preserved Angkor Wat, the main temple, which is pictured on Cambodia’s flag. Giant, mysterious faces are carved into the Bayon Temple at Angkor Thom.

Why Angkor Wat (Siem Reap) is a must see | CAMBODIA
Another one of our life bucket list stops the Angkor Wat temples in Siem Reap, Cambodia. Needless to say we had an absolutely incredible time visiting the Khmer Hindu and Buddhist temple ruins.
Things started off in Phnom Penh where we caught the Cambodia Post VIP Van for $11 USD each to get to Siem Reap. This is the site we booked our Cambodia Post VIP Van tickets from:
They have a variety of routes and departure times. We found Cambodia Post VIP Van to be a pretty cheap and convenient way getting from Phnom Penh to Siem Reap, then using a tuk tuk for the remainder of our journey to get to our accommodation.
The ride from Phnom Penh to Siem Reap via Cambodia Post VIP Van took about 3 hours in total including a quick lunch stop and there were tuk tuks waiting around for us to get to our final destination (our Airbnb accommodation in Siem Reap) that ended up being just a few minutes drive away.
Our accommodation in Siem Reap was an urban studio located in the peaceful Kandal Village. The place was clean, stylish and comfortable. It's situated above Khmer 652 - a Cambodian restaurant that serves very delicious Khmer cuisine with super lovely staff. There are a handful of other cafes and restaurants nearby as well as local craft shops too.
Khmer 652 is owned by the Airbnb hosts so you also get a 10% discount for dining there. Our favourite meals during our time in Siem Reap were at Khmer 652 as well as Crane just at the back of their alley. We loved the location of our accommodation in Siem Reap because it's also in close walking distance to a supermarket, the river bank and the very lively Pub Street.
After a quick haircut and a browse around Kandal Village we got some rest before heading over to the Angkor Wat temple complex the next day. We opted to get a personal tour guide which turned out to be one of the best decisions ever.
Sarak was our tuk tuk driver and Angkor Wat travel guide, recommended to us from a fellow YouTuber friend. Sarak took us all around the amazing temples in the Angkor Wat temple complex, visiting the lesser-known and secret quiet areas (as well as the main temples too). He even took it upon himself to help us take some beautiful photos with our phone during our entire time together too. He was a driver, travel guide and photographer all in one!
Get in touch with Sarak:
meamsarak@gmail.com
+855 92 394 994
If you're wondering how to get to Angkor Wat, we definitely recommend going via tuk tuk with Sarak to enjoy the open air ride and if you want to go to the quieter spots like we did, simply let him know.
We bought a 3-day multi-pass to visit the Angkor Wat temple complex. First day we had Sarak and on our subsequent visits we had Mr Bean (Sarak's business partner) take us when we filmed Peter's Part 2 for his how to retire early series and on the final visit we went via Grab tuk tuk ourselves just to Angkor Wat. We were in Siem Reap visiting Angkor Wat during November. Btw, make sure to keep your Angkor Wat tickets with you as this gets checked at various entry points into the temple complex.
We visited the following temples:
- West Gate
- Angkor Thom
- Preah Khan
- Ta Prohm (also known as the Tomb Raider temple)
- Bayon (and then finally...)
- Angkor Wat
We also enjoyed a breath taking sunset away from the crowds at Srah Sang.
