Praying and Waiting for Rain - Drought-Affected Farmer Angus Pottie in Molong, NSW
17-year-old Henrietta Pottie
was one of the many students who benefitted from Scripture Union NSW and Hope 103.2's Kids to Camp appeal, attending a bike camp as a welcome break from the relentless strain of a farm in drought. We met Henrietta and her dad, Angus, took a look at their farm and learnt a little about how the drought is affecting them. Despite the constant stress, Angus's faith in God is a big factor in helping him to keep going....

Description
Cumnock - Discover the Riches
Cumnock
Embrace the colourful tranquillity of Cumnock - rich in sporting, rural and community culture.
One of the smallest settlements in Cabonne, Cumnock is a tranquil rural village with a typical wide main street flanked by vibrantly painted telegraph poles – “The Happy Poles of Cumnock”.
The ‘Animals on Bikes – Paddock Sculptures’ on Obley Road are also an artistic drawcard for the town. The collection is a 120 kilometre trail of paddock art sculptures displaying 111 two metre high structures (and some smaller letterboxes) on the back road from Molong to Cumnock to Yeoval to Dubbo Zoo.
The sculptures have been created by local farmers, farmers wives, men's sheds, sculptors, preschool kids, and playgroup mums - anyone with an artistic flair!
A large shady park with a barbecue, picnic tables and a children’s playground with a super hero mural completes the ‘family friendly’ atmosphere of the town.
The Amaroo Hall, once the headquarters for the local Amaroo Shire and Court Rooms, is now the visitor information and coffee shop.
Cumnock has a strong sporting ethos and is a known rugby legend breeding ground. The town was home to the famous Australian Wallaby players John White, Tim Gavin and Ross Reynolds.
The sporting facilities of the town include a public swimming pool, tennis courts. Bowling green, golf course, squash court, bike tracks, cricket and football oval, showground and pony club.
Cumnock has a strong community base with a number of well patronised facilities in the town including the playgroup, preschool, Public School, general store, café, bowling club, and hotel.
The rural sector is the main industry of the town with wool production, sheep, cattle and grain growing, along with the associated rural supplies and stock transport companies.

CLIP DESCRIPTION:
Harry (Jeff Daniels) and Lloyd (Jim Carrey) pick up a hitchhiker, but proceed to drive him crazy with their childish antics.
FILM DESCRIPTION:
Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels play the title roles (though viewers may find themselves debating which is which) in this genially low-brow comedy. Lloyd Christmas (Jim Carrey) and Harry Dunne (Jeff Daniels) are two intellectually-challenged best friends who share an apartment so messy that gangsters aren't sure how to trash the place; the guys also have a certain problem (not difficult to understand) holding on to jobs. Lloyd is working as a limo driver in Rhode Island when he picks up a beautiful and wealthy woman named Mary Swanson (Lauren Holly) who is being taken to the airport. Lloyd immediately falls head over heels in love with Mary, and when she leaves a briefcase at the airport, he's determined to return it in hopes of impressing her. Lloyd isn't able to get aboard Mary's flight (though not for lack of trying). Harry has a van decorated to look like a dog (to promote his failing dog-grooming business), and the pair hop in the Poochmobile to find Mary in Aspen. What Lloyd and Harry don't know is that the briefcase is full of money, which Mary deliberately left at the airport as a ransom payment to save the life of her kidnapped husband. Incidentally, Lloyd's chipped front tooth happens to be real; while Jim Carrey had the injured tooth capped many years ago, he thought a broken smile would suit Lloyd's character and had the cap removed for the duration of filming.

Yeoval - Discover the Riches
Yeoval
Experience the artistic country culture and rural landscape of Yeoval on the doorstep of adventure in the Goobang National Park.
Famous Australian storyteller and poet, A.B “Banjo” Paterson, spent the first seven years of his life growing up on the family property ‘Buckinbah’ on the edge of Yeoval. His piece “First Impressions” tells of his memories growing up in the area.
Yeoval has embraced the poet’s connection to the area developing the Banjo Paterson Bush Park lined with works of art. The Poet’s Walk features carved slate seats and clay tile walls and a bike track.
The Bush Park also features one of the largest public artworks in Australia – a bronze abstract sculpture of English Sculptor, Henry Moore, weighing in at six tonnes and six metres high.
The town hosts the Mulga Bill Festival – a three-day event celebrating the life of Banjo and his well-known tale of ‘Mulga Bill’s Bicycle’. This includes an iconic bike ride from Cumnock to Yeoval.
Yeoval is situated on the doorstep of the Goobang National Park which is popular for camping and walking. The town has a Historical Museum and some nice examples of old buildings with character including a country style pub and the old Trading Post building.
