Annandale Winery - Situated in the scenic Helderberg valley of Stellenbosch, the Annandale Winery, owned and lovingly managed by Hempies Du Toit, has a rich history that stretches back to the founding years of South Africa. Here, grapes have been grown for 315 years, and after the second world war, part of Annandale became a shelter for abandoned and abused horses, a legacy which today lends a proud identity to this enigmatic winery. Reflective of its rich heritage, the Annandale cellar which pre dates the 1700s, survives to this day, untouched by time; the proud protector of Annandale wines for generation to come.

This was my favorite of all of the vineyards we visited in Cape Town. It was very down to earth, and there was absolutely no high tech bullcrap to make themselves seem better than they are. The wine was the best of everywhere we went, and the people were amazing.

Wandsbeck Wines is located in the beautiful countryside 30kms from Robertson. The first families moved here in the 1800s and the first wines were produced after the cellar was opened in 1965. Today Wandsbeck harvests 16 different cultivars of grapes from 17 different farms around the cellar.
