USA: Civil War reenactors parade through Gettysburg on Remembrance Day

American Civil War reenactors took part in the annual Remembrance Day Parade in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, on Saturday. They marked the anniversary of the establishment of the Soldiers’ National Cemetery in 1863 following the battle of Gettysburg.
Reenactors wore both Union and Confederate uniforms as they paraded through the streets.
One protester criticised the use of the Confederate flag, noting that he was tired of the Confederate flag winning the battle, because he said it's sanitises the Confederacy. And the only reason [the] Confederacy existed was to protect slavery.
The battle of Gettysburg is considered the decisive military action of the American Civil War and its turning point which allowed the Unionists eventually win over the Confederates.

The most famous fighting from the Battle of Gettysburg in 1863 occurred in the climax of the battle, what is known as Pickett's Charge. In an all out attempt to break the Union line, Robert E. Lee hurled three divisions from his army against the Union force. This video was shot at the Blue Gray Alliance's commemoration of the Battle of Gettysburg, where over 10,000 reenactors came out to commemorate the battle.

Battle of Gettysburg 140th Anniversary Re-enactment
Footage taken by me, a few years ago on the 140th anniversary of the Battle of Gettysburg, between the Union States and the Southern Confederacy. The footage was taken not too far from the actual battle site, in the state of Pennsylvania, United States of America. I added the graininess in the movie for added effect, and before you ask...no, I wasn't at the original battle of Gettysburg! Enjoy!!

Now we are engaged in a great civil war, testing whether that nation, or any nation so conceived and so dedicated, can long endure. We are met on a great battle-field of that war. I worked with both Farbies & the very serious Re-Enactors and everything in between. Civil War Reenactments are fun, from camping to the battles. But it can be very expensive hobby. I used to be my Unit's photographer & I had taken many photos of Confederate Reenactors in camp life. I've been blessed to get very beautiful sunrise & sunset pictures. Now I just free lance. (several night shots do have spirit orbs & other ghostly things).

Reenactment footage of the 146th Anniversary of the Battle of Gettysburg. Shown are snippets from Virginians vs. Wolverines depicting a part of the East Cavalry field fighting (unfortunately, I could not get decent shots of the cavalry itself), and Forward of the Round Tops depicting an engagement between the 6th Corps and the 95th P.V.I. Also included are drummers, and some music by the 2nd South Carolina String Band, a discussion with Union General Grant on the Vicksburg campaign, and a Confederate infantryman's view on daily life.
