Antara Gange is a mountain situated in the Shathashrunga mountain range in the southeastern portion of the Indian state of Karnataka. Antara Gange literally means Ganges from deep in Kannada. It is about two miles from the town of Kolar and seventy kilometers from Bangalore. Antara Gange is famous for the temple situated on the mountain. In the temple is a pond which gets a continuous flow of underground water from the mouth of a Basava (stone bull).There is a steep, narrow path to the top of the mountain. There are seven villages on this mountain, including Therhalli. The mountain consists of granite rocks and lot of caves around.

ANTARA GANGE TREK AND CAVES || KOLAR
Antara Gange is a small hill next to Kolar, around 60km from Bangalore. The place is really nice for trekking and to get back into nature. There are also caves that you can explore. It was my first time there and I'm pretty sure to go back some day.

Antharagange Caves Trek and Kotilingeshwara | Sakre vlogs
Antharagange/Antaragange/Antharagange is the cave temple dedicated to Shiva and the Ganga.
Anthargange trek is one of cave exploration trek in Bangalore.
Brief about the place:
Known as Dakshina Kashi is a series of rocky hills situated in the Shathashrunga mountain range.
There is a temple named Kashivishweshwara Temple in front of the pond dedicated to Lord Shiva
The pond gets a continuous water stream from Nandi throughout the year. The origin of the water is unknown but believed that the water is falling from the head of Lord Shiva.
Visitors carry this holy water in bottles because it is also believed that one can get rid of the diseases by drinking this holy water of Antaragange.

Kolar The Golden city of India, is a city in the Indian state of Karnataka. It is the headquarters of Kolar District and is known for production of Milk, which recently surpassed Denmark, and gold mining. Kolar is popularly known as the land of silk, milk, Mango,(National fruit of India) and gold. The city is famous for the Someshwara temple and the Kolaramma temple. Kolaramma is considered as goddess of city of Kolar.Kolar has APMC market Which is 2nd largest in Asia, Largest in South India. Kolar is leading India in production of Mango, Tomato,Milk which are exported to various other nations like UK, USA, UAE etc. List of tourist attractions in Kolar district It has many colleges in which vidya jyothi pu college (excel academics) is the leading college.
The Western Gangas sovereignty lasted from about 350 to 550 CE, initially ruled from Kolar as their Capital City. The founder of the Western Ganga dynasty was Konganivarman Madhava, who built Kolar as his capital around 350 and ruled for about twenty years. He succeeded by his son Madhava I. Kolar, the headquarters of the Kolar district, was earlier known as Kuvalalapura, also known as Kolahala Pura. Historically, Kolar is said to be associated with the epic age, which recalls many legends associated with Avani in Mulbagal Taluk, which was also called Avani Kshetra.
It was once known as Avantika- Kshetra, a sacred place in Kolar district in Karnataka State. It was famous for its religious establishments from ancient times. It was once known as Aavanya which was under the Ganga prince Madhava Muttarasa, who governed several districts. In about A.D 890, its earliest grant relates that Tribhuvana Kartara Deva, who held the title of Kali Yuga Rudra, ruled over the Avaniya Thana for 40 years. During this period he constructed 50 temples and two large tanks. Maharshi Valmiki, author of the epic Ramayana, lived here. The legend goes further to establish that Seetha Devi, after being sent to exile, gave birth to her twins Lava and Kusha at Avani. The Avani continued to survive as a religious establishment from the 9th to 11th centuries. There are temples dedicated to Lord Rama.
The hill to the west of Kolar, called the Shatasringa Parvata or 'Hundred-Peaked Mountain' is 'Antharagange', associated with the story of Parasurama and his fight with King Kartaviryarjuna over Surabhi, the divine cow. As the story goes, King Kartavirya Arjuna (Sahasrarjuna) and his army visited Jamadagni, Parasurama's father, when the king demanded the magical cow from Jamadagni. When Jamadagni refused, the King sent his soldiers to take the cow, but Parashurama killed the entire army and the king with his axe. In return, the princes beheaded Jamadagni. Thus, Parasurama took an oath to behead the entire Kshatriya race, which is said to have taken place on the hills. It is said that the 'kolahala' on the death of Kartaviryarjuna gave its name to the town, which later become Kolar. Kannada is the main languages spoken in the district of Kolar. Telugu is also spoken. Gangas built beautiful temple of Sri Uttameshwara temple in Uttanur Mulbagal Talluk

Antaragange temple and hillock, Kolar, Karnataka (Featuring my first real HDR timelapse)
This video features my first real HDR timelapse [watch between 0:11 and 0:13] which comprised of 3 exposure [-2,0,+2] RAW images for each picture. A total 3*35 RAW images were edited to form 35 images resulting in 2 second timelapse which is low of-course. The primary reason for such low length is the exhaustion if SD card space. Hope you enjoy the short HDR timelapse :). Feel free to leave feedback. I hope to capture longer length HDR timelapse in future.
Known as Dakshina-Kaashi, Antaragange in Kolar is famous for mysterious water tumbling from hillocks diving towards small pool. The origin of water is not known to anyone. The water flows throughout the year without any dry-period. The taste is sweeter than mineral water and one can drink it raw without hesitation.
Apart from videos of temple, watch clips of our hill climb. The hike was surprise gift for us and we nailed the candid climb successfully. One can enjoy the beautiful panoramic view of Kolar town atop the hill.

In this video, I will show you the vlog of one of the Trekking place in Kolar which is 70 kms from Bangalore, India.
This is one of the best day trip from Bangalore where you can do Trekking as well as have adventureous experience of Scary Caves... Its really amazing experience we had over there...
Highway is really great but make sure you have Fastag or you will spend 30 minutes in line for payment.
There is no entry fee for this cave but we need to pay parking charges.
