Halifax Seaport Farmers' Market | Scottman895 Travel Delights
In my next edition of Scottman895 Travel Delights, I head to the Halifax Seaport Farmers' Market. The Halifax Seaport Farmers' Market is the longest continuously running market in all of North America, and it was moved to the Halifax Seaport in 2010. I head inside the market to explore the many different vendors offering a lot of great food including shawarma, sushi, cheese, and Greek food. I grab some lunch from Mary's African Cuisine, and I try the East Africa lamb curry with some jasmine rice, cabbage, and black-eyed peas. The Halifax Seaport Farmers' Market is a must-visit attraction when exploring Halifax.

Antigonish
One of my all-time favorite poems comes to shape in this E. Lambert Production. According to Wikipedia, this poem was inspired by reports of a ghost of a man roaming the stairs of a haunted house in Antigonish, Nova Scotia, Canada. Jordan Moore and James Casson team up with me on location at the Perry County Jail Museum in my hometown, Pinckneyvlle, IL to bring you this crazed little story about a man who wasn't there.

ANTIGONISH STREET FAIR 2017
It was a summer day in 2017,
when a small town in northern Nova Scotia,
joined in the celebration of the country ís
150th birthday... in kind of a big way.
What began as an idea over a cup of coffee,
turned into an historical event not seen
in the life of this quiet little town.
Organizers of the Antigonish annual
Street Fair wanted to make a big statement
to show their community pride.
On July 6th they accomplished just that,
by painting directly on the street,
the largest Canada 150 banner in the country.
Considered to be one of the most spirited communities
in Canada, Antigonish is truly the
Highland Heart of the Nova Scotia.
Our appreciation and thanks also goes to:

such a success. Without you,
our event would never have happened.
Thank you all!

Natural & architectural beauties like Sugarloaf Mountain, Keppoch, wood & stone churches, beaches, Victorian era houses, lighthouses, and community assets such as historic St. Francis Xavier University, the regional library, Town Hall, street art and parks. I am always interested in celebrating our history through timelapse videos like these. If you have any ideas for future themes let me know. Hyperlapses are series of pictures taken focussing on one point while the photographer is himself moving between each photo. Each second of footage contains 24 or more digitally stabilized still shots on a focal point. Some novelties this year were that I learned how to create day to night timelapses using LR Timelapse. This is technically challenging because it involves changing the manual settings of the camera as light conditions change, and adjusting for the blunt changes in exposure, etc., with LR Timelapse in post-production. This has allowed me to shoot sunrises & sunsets much more vividly than previously possible. All exist in up to 4k quality. Timelapses shot with 18-55 mm & 80-300mm Canon lenses.
