A half day trip on the Mystic II from Jolly Harbour Antigua to Cades Reef and Turner's beach. Snorkelling, lunch and drinks were included in the price. Thanks to Captain Cutty, his crew and our fellow passengers. It was a great trip!

Jolly Harbour has some stunning villas and beaches with restaurants shops and a buzzing vibe. It is the center of a lot of boat based tours and as you can see in the video there is still land for sale.

I fly into Antigua and see the gorgeous ocean. I visit the capital, St. John's, and then drive down to the English Harbour and Jolly Harbour.

There are many excursions that are offered through Royal Caribbean once in Antigua. While we were unsure of what to do and/or see in Antigua & Barbuda, we exited the Adventure of the Seas and decided to find a tour guide who ended up taking us around the island of Antigua with the final stop in Jolly Harbour which is where we captured this GoPro footage of us jetskiing in the Caribbean.

Antigua and Barbuda have sadly both experienced some tough circumstances over the years, but these little Caribbean beauties continue to pull tourists to the amazing beaches, food and people each year. We decided to take an island safari tour around Antigua to get a real feel for what Antigua is like outside of the tourist resorts.
Barbuda wasn't on our itinerary this time, but hopefully on our next visit to the Caribbean we will get the chance to also tour around Barbuda safari style to scope out how the island is/has recovered.
Thats a wrap on our Caribbean travel vlogs, this time in Antigua has been exactly what we needed... an eye opening experience, a luxury state and a chilled vibe. We've got nothing but love for the island and everyone we had the pleasure of meeting.

Sailing to Jolly Harbour, Antigua
Warning!! This is a sailing video! I set up the camera in the cockpit and filmed us raising the sails in 19 knot winds on the Dufour 40 we chartered. We kept the second reef in the main and reefed the jib. Probably overkill, but we were happy with the speed and stability in our running position as we sailed from Dickenson Bay to Jolly Harbour, missing all the localized thunderstorms forecasted for that day. As soon as we rounded The Pelican Islands the water was devastatingly turquoise. Just gorgeous! The wind was quite tricky for anchoring and the bay was very crowded but we made it work!
When we headed into shore for dinner, we had some trouble with the dinghie outboard motor. A sailor from another boat saw us drifting and then me canoe paddling back to the boat. It was amazing how fast he came to help!
FLOODED MOTOR solution:
He instructed us to remove the gas line from the tank. Then put it in neutral, and the motor started. We then throttled the engine to full until the engine petered out (no more gas). Then we re-attached the gas line, primed it slightly, and then re-started the motor and it worked! There was some further issues with that motor in the following videos!
TIP: Really know your dinghie handling techniques (beaching and de-beaching) AND always travel with your paddles, life-jackets and wear your kill switch bracelet at all times!!

Antigua is part of the Antigua & Barbuda state, the capital is St. John's and the population of the island is about 80 000. In the video you will see many turquoise beaches with beautiful palm trees, I will be doing a zip line tour in a rainforest and I will show you around the English Harbour and Nelson's Dockyard.
