A journey through Ao Manao | Prachuap Khiri Khan Thailand
#Thailand #Prachuapkhirikhan
Follow us on our journey through the capital town of Prachuap Khiri Khan province. This town represents one of Thailand's proudest achievements and historical sites.
From a WW2 battlefield to its wonderful mountain peaks that lies within the prachuap bay. Its magnificent wonders are a true sight to behold within their beaches and central part of town, they truly represent the land of smiles that is Thailand.
Unaffected by commercial tourism, its eco tourism has a really strong presence here, which i really love and adore. A true Thai cultural experience.

Prachuap Khiri Khan - Thailand Monkey Temple, AMAZING VIEWPOINT, Ao Manao Beach and Wild Elephants
Prachuap Khiri Khan - Thailand Monkey Temple, AMAZING VIEWPOINT, Ao Manao Beach and Wild Elephants
Most people know Prachuap Khiri Khan as home to the busy beachside town of Hua Hin. Keep heading south, however, if you like things at an altogether slower pace. Prachuap Khiri Khan Town is a sleepy fishing town with an amazing viewpoint at the top of a temple and home to a LOT of monkeys.
A short drive from the town is the pristine local beach, Ao Manao (Lime Bay), which is the cleanest Thai beach we've come across. If you keep going down further south you can see wild elephants in Kui Buri National Park, which is a fantastic day trip.

Ao Manao Beach - Prachuap Khiri Khan (part 1)
Gracie and I awoke to a Gorgeous Sunrise from the balcony at our hotel: Hadthong right on the beach in Prachuap Khiri Khan.
Breakfast was included with our room so, after this free breakfast, we walked across the road behind the hotel and for 200 Baht (~ $6.60) plus about $2 in fuel, we rented a motorbike. The bike included 2 helmets. ;-)
We took a little ride just south of our hotel which takes us through the Wing 5 Airbase.
Here is some info on the airbase:
We had to sign in at the entry gate by just writing my passport number and name on a paper attached to a clip board. This is not hugely enforced and its actually a nice way to greet the guards that stand at the entrance.
Once at Ao Manao beach we realized, in the evening, the once flat-sand turns into a beach filled with little balls of sand - generated by little crabs burrowing into the sand only a few centimeters below the surface.
Ao Manao is one of THE Quietest and most peaceful Thai beaches I have ever been to. I LOVED It. It is a Great walking beach as the slope is next to nothing so, no weird slant to your heips and the hard pack sand is very clean and there are Plenty of places to duck in between the trees to find your own slice of privacy.
Prachuap Khiri Khan is definitely in my TOP 10 places of Thailand FOR SURE!
I hope if you get to Thailand, you make it a point to head South of Hua Hin as its a real treat!!!
Thanks for watching.

Prachuap Khiri Khan - One of Thailand's top unseen tourism destinations
A sleepy seaside town situated an hour and a half south of Hua Hin, Prachuap Khiri Khan is a wonderfully untouched destination and is one of the jewels of Southern Thailand.
The province is on the Kra Isthmus, the narrow land bridge connecting the Malay Peninsula with mainland Asia. The province contains the narrowest part of Thailand. At its narrowest, it is just 13 km from the coast of the Gulf of Thailand to the border with Myanmar

Thailand, Prachuap khiri Khan & Beyond 1/2
#Thailand #Prachuapkhirikhan #amazingthailand #thaiculture
Revisiting Prachuap Khiri Khan, one of my subscribers contacted me saying that there was so much more in this lovely town of Prachuap, so i decided to respond to his e-mail.
And we came into contact, once we did planning was on the way to make a second trip, and what a trip it was. Prachuap Khiri Khan's market life to its wonderful mountains and temple offered me a very serene and zen like feeling. Something that reminded of my childhood when i frequently visited Thailand, the smell and atmosphere is absolutely amazing, it really shows you Thai culture at its best.
Prachuap Khiri Khan Thailand.
When most of us think of Prachuap Khiri Khan, we think of the province and not so much the town which is the main capitol of the province of Prachuap. It is home to a Thai Airforce Base and it was an invasion point for the Japanese troops on december 8 1941 during World War II. A commemoration is held each year on the same month to remember the brave Thai airmen and civilians that fought off their invaders. Prachuap Khiri Khan hosts a variety of local hotels and has plenty of local markets often a lot of sea food caught freshly for you to indulge yourself with it. The town is very close to the Myanmar border
Today many of the Prachuap Khiri Khan residents will tell you very proudly how their ancestors fought off the Japanese invasion force. This town hosts a great many gems such as the beautiful beach of Ao Manao which is located within the Thai Airforce base for tourists and locals to enjoy its beach and local food stalls.
Ao Manao means lime bay in Thai, and within the area there is a viewpoint mountain called Khao Lommuak mountain.
The Singkhon Pass or just Singkhon, is the border crossing between Thailand and Myanm It hosts a local market right before the border control gate on the Thai side, where Burmese people also exchange and sell their products coming coming from Myanmar.
The town of Prachuap Khiri Khan, reminds me of a Thailand that was more down to earth, its people are a lot more friendly, and the few foreigners that settle there have integrated perfectly with its local population. Prachuap urban streets are smaller and have a Thainess to them, its quiet and relaxed atmosphere made me feel right at home. There is one amazing temple that is on the top of a mountain called Khao Chong Krachok, it also serves as a viewpoint and is quite popular with foreigners and out of town Thais. And its not that surprising why people would think that its a fascinating place to be at, and monks come up from time to time to pray.
The local markets in the morning like pretty much any other Thai city or town share similarities in produce and foods you can enjoy, still its always worth taking a look just because you might be a tourist and thats what we do right ?
Enjoy a coffee, get a Thai style breakfast, walk around and i urge you to be lost in the town for a while thats when u discover its hidden urban gems. Walk and walk some more until you get to that one food stall or restaurant where the locals eat that one particular Thai dish you crave so much.
Take a nice stroll on the beach boulevard which one must when visiting and if you're lucky at the end of the day, when that gruelling Thai summer heat is over, all of a sudden Markets and food stalls, restaurants, artisans show up to sell their products.

Ao Manao Beach - Walk 'n' Chat, This is PERFECT = Living The Dream in Thailand
In the previous video Ao Manao Beach - Prachuap Khiri Khan (part 1)
{ } Gracie and I walked down to the end of Ao Manao beach here in Prachuap Khiri Khan. As we started walking back... well, as I started walking back and Gracie sat in the shade of a nearby tree, protecting herself from the death-rays of the mighty red-yellow ball in the sky.. yeh know, because she's Asian ;-)
I pause, however briefly, and realized the THIS was one of those views that I had had in my mind. One of those pictures or maybe even fantasies of what my life would be like or what a day might be like when I moved to Thailand
I was reviewing my YouTube channel the other day and in one of the descriptions I stated that my goal is to move to Thailand by ~April 2018. I landed at Suvarnabhumi, Bangkok International Airport on 21 November, 2019. So, I am *really* happy with that. about 18 months past my original goal is VERY acceptable for me.
In fact, I'm still pinching myself MANY times per week.
I am THE Luckiest Guy In The World!
I genuinely hope that you feel the same way about your life!
Live the Dream!
