I'm not that experienced in videography, so please bare with me. I hope to learn more about it though, so that I can provide better videos in the future. Channel is just a fun side project to learn more about filming, since I love walking around for hours I thought this might be a good idea to combine these two activities.
Videowalks have a very relaxing and calming effect on me, so I hope my videos can have the same effect on others.
TRIP TO BERLIN! | amirangr
about a month ago, nine of my friends and I got a chance to go to Germany for FREE! it started when we joined a competition called Future Young Entrepreneurs, held by Goethe Institut, and thankfully, we won! so we got an opportunity to go to Berlin, to continue our Competition to the next level! We compete with 6 countries from around the world; Germany, Vietnam, Netherlands, India, Malawi, and Romania. it was a really good experience for us, to know them, and be friends with them. i regret that i don't have any footage with them, because i left my camera on the hotel for the rest of the week:( but i'm glad that we got lots of good memories to bring home:) this video was made, to inspire Indonesian youth, to keep trying to make our country proud. so here's to the wonderful week at Berlin, and to our never ending friendship.
ps. sorry if the video is a little shaky, i guess i'm not used to it, it'll be better next time!:)

Food for the Eyes . The Story of Food in Photography
08.06.19 to 07.09.19
Food for the Eyes includes Swiss artist duo Peter Fischli and David Weiss’s legendary Sausage Series, showing hot dogs, German sausages, parsley, and pickles arranged as props in a grotesquely absurd scene; fashion photographer Irving Penn’s similarly iconic frozen fruit and vegetable sculptures and his numerous artful still lifes; and British Magnum photographer Martin Parr’s images of bright fairy cakes, tea, and beans on toast, all instantly recognizable as typically “British.” The show also presents works by Cindy Sherman and Martha Rosler that disrupt the traditionally domestic role of the woman in the kitchen. With works from fine art and fashion photography to journalistic stories and advertisements, the exhibition at C/O Berlin encompasses the varied history of food in photography and offers a comprehensive over view of the depiction of food in photography during the last two centuries.
Food for the Eyes . The Story of Food in Photography brings together a number of well-known artists, including Nobuyoshi Araki, Peter Fischli and David Weiss, Nan Goldin, Rinko Kawauchi, Laura Letinsky, Martin Parr, Irving Penn, Martha Rosler, Cindy Sherman, Stephen Shore, and Wolfgang Tillmans. Curated by Susan Bright and Denise Wolff the exhibition is organized by Aperture Foundation, New York, in collaboration with C/O Berlin.

7 Things You DON'T DO IN NUREMBERG, Germany
Nuremberg, Franken is a bit special. Not like the rest of Bavaria. Or at least it's what we think. There are a few things you should don't do when you are from Nuremberg (Nürnberg).

Feedback and criticism is very welcome - my goal is to get better, so please tell me if something is bothering you (bad sound or video, panning too quickly, walking too fast or slow, breathing, whatever...)
I'm sorry for the occasional interruptions due to gear adjustments or bad movement (I underestimated the terrible jitter when panning at 25p...) - it was the frist time using a gimbal and external mic for me, so I am not really comfortable with my gear yet.

Fashion Photography - Berlin Modefotograf - Per Zennstom answers some questions
Fashion Photography
I'm always very happy to answer questions about my work in fashion photography and this time around Ophelie, from Canade wrote me with questions about my background, schooling, influences, hardships...
One of the more interesting (and terifying) aspects of working today is the change - and the relentless speed of change) that we all are exposed to and I took a moment to expand on that for a bit.
Another aspect of having a Digital Mindset is the notion of Finding and Exploring Hidden Value In Your Organization For me in this case it means that I took an email from a photo student and I turned that into a marketing opportunity. This is based on the fact that everything You do has a potential value to someone else... My answer to Ophelie has a value... I could have just sent of a quick email back to Ophelie - and that would only have benefitted her but instead I recorded a screen capture and leveraged the power of YouTube to get my story out to a much broader audience.
24-Hour Berlin Time Lapse - In A Berlin Minute (Week 121)
RE-PUBLISHED (original date: August 28, 2012) -- --
The view from the tallest building in Berlin (Hotel Park Inn by Radisson) over the course of 24+ hours squeezed into just under a minute offers quite a display of the sun and clouds chasing each other across the Berlin sky - with all the important sights below and the Fernsehturm (TV Tower), the tallest structure in Berlin, standing dramatically in the foreground.
Originally I was only going to film from sunrise to sunset but then I let the camera roll and was excited to discover a few special visitors at sunrise the next morning...
This was filmed on Monday, August 20, which must have been the hottest day of the year.
At first I was quite disappointed about the haziness and the grey sky (compared to the beautiful white clouds against a blue sky on other days this past week), but when I watched the footage and saw the rain clouds roll in I was redeemed. If you look closely you can see the TV tower get wet and the moisture evaporate. If you stop the video, you can even see raindrops on the window.
By the way, spending the hottest day (and two nights) at the hotel with air conditioning (not something common in Germany) had its own special benefit.
I don't know why the camera frame keeps jumping. It wasn't set on autofocus. So I can only imagine it had something to do with the aperture changing or that the building's window was moving from air pressure.
The song is called Angry Farmer and was written and produced by Jason Matherne of Goonygoogoo Productions.
If you'd like to experience this view with your own eyes, get yourself a room at the Hotel Park Inn, which kindly provided me free room to shoot this video. You can also head up to their rooftop terrace, where you can enjoy the view as captured by David Yates on his AndBerlin Blog during our location scout last week.

Anish Kapoor: Memory at Deutsche Guggenheim Berlin
| Commissioned by the Deutsche Guggenheim, Anish Kapoor created a site-specific work. The sculpture, titled Memory, is a 24 ton Cor-Ten steel tank, that sits tightly within the Deutsche Guggenheim's gallery space. Thus, the viewer has two distinct views of the work. In addition to that, a staircase leading down from the Deutsche Guggenheim's store offers a view into Memory's dark, cavernous interior through a two-meter square aperture window. By this, the viewer has three perspectives he has to put together again in his memory.
Anish Kapoor was born in 1954 in Mumbai, India. He lives and works in London. The exhibition has been curated by Sandhini Poddar. The show will travel to the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in New York at a date to be announced.
This video contains statements by the curator of the exhibition, Sandhini Poddar, and an interview with Anish Kapoor.
Interview: Daniel Miller. Video: Lizza May David. Deutsche Guggenheim, Berlin / Germany. November 28, 2008.
