A Journey to Gulmarg (Apharwat Peak)
Sneak peak of after life. Slopes calling us and there is no resisting back. White powder white trees and white ambience fills all the soul with freezing greed to explore more and more. Treading into the air in a creamish cabin called Gondola feels like moving into the space with all vacuum and relish the inbound soothing sound. Nevertheless is not wrong to say that God has actually copied the blueprint of actual Heaven. Gulmarg the place for the people who dare to join when others join their cozy hot bedrooms.
Gulmarg is one of the beautiful places on the earth, thousands of people visit to Gulmarg every year to ski or to ride world's second highest cable car Gondola or to enjoy, Gondola has three phases, phase 1 is called seven springs or Khilanmarg and the highest peak is Apharwat Peak which is arround 14500 fts above the sea level.

Gulmarg in India's Kashmir: fly over the ski slopes and mountains
An aerial journey over the ski slopes of Gulmarg in Jammu and Kashmir state in India. Skiiers descend the gentle and lengthy ski runs, even as other skiers head up the chair car lifts to the tops of nearby Apharwat mountain near the Line of Control with Pakistan.
See the same cable car gondola that experienced a terrible accident in June 2017, leading to the death of seven people, including an entire family from Delhi.
These same meadows become alpine flower gardens in summer-time, after snow-melt. Millions of irises and run-wild Lupines dot the slopes.

- There are two phases. Phase 1 costs 750 INR Up&Down, Phase 2 costs 940 INR Up& Down. Better to book tickets to avoid local touts, who will try to cancel your program if you do not buy from them in double or triple costs.
- Hire worm clothes from road-side shops while coming towards GulMarg. All the drivers know the shops and they have commission from them
- Second phase remains open for few hours. by 3PM they try to evacuate the place including security and comes down to Phase 1 which remains open till 5PM. So arrange your program accordingly.
- Apart from tickets, there are no other entry fees.
- No food is available in Phase 2. You will get Tea-Coffee though. Food is available in Phase 1 (Kongdoori) where around 10-12 shops are there side-by-side offering various dishes. Food is too good and hot although a bit costly. But it is worth paying since they are providing good service for you to enjoy the beauty.
- Each Gondola ride is around 15 minutes. So Up& Doen takes 30 minutes. Including Phase 2 it will be 1 hour. Gondola may stop in-between for load-shedding, hence do not panic
