Psicobloc Open Series - Montreal 2018
PSICOBLOC, or deep water soloing, is a form of climbing that involves climbing without a rope above a deep body of water.
This extreme competition involves two climbers racing up a 55-foot overhanging wall, with any mistake resulting in a spectacular fall into the water.
This climbing duel merges the climbers’ speed, agility, and endurance, with an essence of the California «beach&surf» culture, creating an atmosphere of heart-pounding action and excitement.

Inside Olympic Pool - Montreal
The Montreal Olympic Pool was constructed for the 1976 Summer Olympics as part of the Montreal Olympic Park. The Olympic Pool is part of the larger swimming centre, located in the base of the inclined tower. The centre has a spectator capacity of 3,012 seats.
At the 1976 Olympics, the venue hosted swimming, diving, water polo, and the swimming part of the modern penatathlon events. It had a capacity of 10,000 seats at the time (6,988 temporary seats were installed).
The building was designed by French architect Roger Taillibert, who also designed the Olympic Stadium and Olympic Village.
The structure, along with the accompanying velodrome inspired Tallibert's later designs for Luxembourg's National Sports and Culture Centre.
Outside of the actual aquatic complex, inside the tower, a small museum exists, commemorating the 1976 Games as well as Games past, with posters and displays in French and English.

Life goes on for swimmers Miguel Molina, Enchong Dee and Johansen Aguilar
#2019SEAGames #Wewinasone
Nowadays for swimmers Miguel Molina, Enchong Dee and Johansen Aguilar, were they met together at the 2005 Manila and 2007 Nakhon Ratchasima Southeast Asian Games and 2006 Doha Asian Games and appeared in Milo commercial in 2008.
For Dee, a resident of Barangay Horseshoe, Quezon City and student of De La Salle University in Manila when he visited to Montreal, Canada for the 2005 World Aquatics Championships when the swimming competition held at pools in Parc Jean-Drapeau and Macau in time for the East Asian Games when the swimming events held at the Macau Olympic Aquatic Centre and to see Chinese Olympic swimmer Wu Peng.
In the same year when the country hosted the southeast Asian Games when the swimming events held at Trace Aquatic Center in Los Banos, Laguna.
For Molina at 21 years old when he was a student of University of California Berkeley and one of the four Filipino triple gold medal winners in the 2005 Southeast Asian Games, was one of the 10 tankers who made it to the team seeing action in the quadrennial meet.
Fil-Ams James Walsh, Erica Totten and Daniel Coakley also made it to the list along with SEAG veterans Kendrick Uy, Ernest Dee, Johansen Aguilar, Marichi Gandionco and Denjylie Cordero.
Miguel Mendoza, who won the gold medal in the 1,500-meter freestyle, retired early this year while RP team mainstays Liza Danila, Ronald Guiriba and Raphael Chua opted to skip the Doha games due to academic reasons.
A year later when several UAAP records in the 50-, 100- and 200-meter butterfly events and 400-meter individual medley were broken by Dee. He was also chosen 70th season MVP while two months later when Molina won four gold medals, one silver and one bronze at 2007 Nakhon Ratchasima games.
Aside from Molina is no other than De La Salle University (DLSU) Green Tankers and Philippine Columbian Association (PCA) Stingrays member and 2007 UAAP Swimming Championship Men's Division MVP Ernest Lorenzo Enchong Dee in lane 8 of men's 100-meter butterfly finals last Sunday, December 9, 2007.
Besides Molina and Dee is fellow DLSU Green Tanker turned Makati Skipjacks Swimming Club member Johansen Benedict Johan Aguilar in men's 200-meter backstroke heats and finals last December 7, 2007.
To recall, no other than Dee and Aguilar themselves wearing arena ARN-4091 WHT silicone swimming cap, AGL-1400_ EMBL swimming glass (mirror Swedish type) and ARN-6008M GRN Half Spats nux-K Power Strush while UP Maroon Tankers Berino and Uy wears arena AGL-1400_ YLCL swimming glass (mirror Swedish type) and ARN-6015 DRED rimic nux-F just in time for the 2006 Asian Games in Doha, Qatar and 2007 Southeast Asian Games in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand.
Parading another star in Filipino-American James Walsh, swimming matched the two-gold effort by cycling as the Philippines finished with seven victories Tuesday that did little to get the defending overall champion Philippines out of its fifth place hole Tuesday in the 24th Southeast Asian Games here.
Walsh smashed the six-year-old SEAG record in ruling the men’s 200-meter butterfly, then combined with Miguel Molina, Ryan Arabejo and new RP swim sensation Daniel Coakley to secure the sport’s final gold in the men’s 4×100 individual medley. That capped the Filipinos’ eight victories overall.
Walsh shattered by 1.39 seconds the SEAG record of 2:01.84 set by Malaysia’s Anthony Ang in September 2001 in Kuala Lumpur.
Donny Utomo of Indonesia won silver (2:00.81) and Daniel Bego of Malaysia won bronze (2:03.97).
Ernest Lorenzo Dee (8th, 2:11.47) also failed in the finals of the men’s 200-meter butterfly.
In December 2008, he was participated at the 2008 ASEAN University Games in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia with one silver and two bronze medals.
In August 2009, he was in the early evening primetime drama series “Katorse” with Erich Gonzales, Ejay Falcon and Xian Lim and it runs until January 8, 2010.
Virtually unnoticed in the last weeks that have been dominated by typhoon Ondoy was the outstanding feat of De La Salle University’s (DLSU) 20-year old Enchong Dee who led the Green Tankers to the championship of the 72nd UAAP swimming competitions held at the Trace Aquatic Sports Complex, Los Baños. Dee won his third consecutive MVP award and won the gold in all 21 events he swam the past three years. Dee’s events were the 50-meter, 100-meter and 200-meter butterfly; 800-meter and 1500-meter freestyle; and 200-meter and 400-meter individual medley. Dee ends his UAAP career with four records while being a mainstay in ABS-CBN’s evening telenovelas.

The soon-to-be-completed Family Aquatic Complex is already turning heads in the provincial and national swimming communities. Mayor Eddie Francis has announced that the facility will house a number of prestigious swimming championships in 2013-2014:
•Ontario Provincial Swimming Championships (Division III), December 13-15, 2013, to be hosted by the Windsor Aquatic Club
•Speedo Eastern Canadian Swimming Championships, February 14-17, 2014, to be hosted by the Windsor Aquatic Club
•Masters Swimming Ontario Championships, March 27-29, 2014, to be hosted by the Windsor Essex Swim Team
•Amanda Reason Invitational Meet, May 2-4, 2014, to be hosted by the Windsor-Essex Swim Team

•Synchro Swim Ontario Open Age Group Synchronized Swimming Championships, May 20-24, 2014
•Windsor-Essex Swim Team International Meet, July 11-13, 2014
The City of Windsor is proud to share the four partnerships being created today with the community, delivering considerable direct and indirect economic benefits, says Windsor Mayor Eddie Francis. Each of Swimming/Natation Canada, Masters Swimming Canada, Swim Ontario, and Synchro Swim Ontario are bringing to Windsor the nation's most prestigious aquatic events and accomplished athletes. We thank each of these organizations, together with the Windsor Aquatic Club and Windsor-Essex Swim Team for their collaboration and enthusiasm in bringing over 4,000 unique out-of-town athletes, as well as their families, coaches and officials to Windsor.
The events will bring to Windsor direct spending of $3.4 million, and an overall economic impact of $7.6 million overall.
The events come on the heels of the International Children's Games, which will be the first competition to visit Windsor's new 50-metre pool in August of this year.
We are very proud of Windsor's involvement in hosting not only international aquatic events in your community but national events at your facility as well, said Aquatics Canada President Lisa Schott. Aquatic sports can make a meaningful difference to your community by contributing to the local economy through events like these and also by inspiring citizens of all ages to just swim.
Windsor's swimmers have a shared history of success at all levels, developing three great Olympians and frequently appearing on Canada's national team roster, notes Windsor-Essex Swim Team Head Coach Andrei Semenov. We are proud that Windsor will be hosting these events in a great swimming facility that will make our great athletes even greater.
The City of Windsor has put forward an admirable effort in helping the aquatic community secure these events, said Windsor Aquatic Club Head Coach Jeff Cowan. We're looking forward to participating in them and contributing to their overall success.
