Our Cafe Interview: Aqua Vue, Torquay
Today we meet Larry from Aqua Vue in Torquay. This beachfront cafe is very popular with locals and tourists alike for its tasty food and coffee but Aqua Vue is so much more than just a nice cafe.
Larry's passion really becomes evident when he is discussing Jet Ski tours to Fraser Island with backpackers or Marine Safety with local school children, which are just some of the other things he has on offer here.

National Whale Day- Hervey Bay
Paddle Out for Humpback Whales
Don't kill our humpbacks! was the message the Hervey Bay community sent to the world on June 5th 2010 as part of the National Whale Day event held in communities throughout Australia.
The event held in Hervey Bay was a Paddle Out for Humpbacks where 500 paddlers took to the water to symbolise the amount of whales taken in the southern whale sanctuary last hunting season. The event was held to send an important message before the IWC met only weeks later to decide on a proposal that threatened to see the return of commercial whaling for the first time since 1986.
