The Syvash or Sivash , also known as the Putrid Sea or Rotten Sea , is a large system of shallow lagoons on the west coast of the Sea of Azov.Separated from the sea by the narrow Arabat Spit, the water of the Syvash covers an area of around 2,560 km2 and the entire area spreads over about 10,000 km2 .Its eastern connection to the Sea of Azov is called the Henichesk Strait.Lying on the northeastern coast of the Crimean Peninsula, control of the area is disputed between Ukraine and Russia.

Gengorka.The official name of the settlement, which arose as a satellite of the city Genichesk-Genichesky Hill, but locals and vacationers on the Arabat spit often use the abbreviated name - Gengorka. Administratively Gengorka belongs to the local Council of the neighboring village of Schastlivtsevo. Most of the year Gengorka is a small village with a population of about 500 people. With the beginning of the holiday season Gengorka becomes one of the largest resorts of the Azov sea. Stay in recreation centers and boarding houses Gengorka affordable, and the holiday infrastructure is well developed. An important advantage of recreation in Gengorka is a convenient geographical location. The distance from the railway station in Novoalekseevka to Genichesk Hill is about 24 km, and from Genichesk – 10.7 km, i.e. 15 minutes by car. We passed the bridges across the genichesky Strait and the Gullies Strait – and we are already on the Arabatskaya Strelka, in the first settlement of Kosy – Gengorka. Gengorka is an ideal place for a summer holiday by the sea with children. The sea in Gengorka is warm, shallow, flat and sandy. A cozy resort village is located at the beginning of the Arabat spit. It is the longest beach in Europe. It stretches for 100 km along the coast of the Azov sea. On the left side of Gengorka located sea, and on the right is lake Sivash. Water (brine) and mud of lake Sivash have unique healing properties. On the relatively small territory of the Arabat spit is concentrated such a recreational potential that it seems that every millimeter of spit, every molecule of water, earth and air - healing. That is why people come to Gengorka not only to relax, gain impressions, but also to improve their health and strengthen the immune system.

Genicheskaya hill (Gengorka), is an ideal place for a beach holiday with children aged one to twelve years. On the first line of Gengorka there are children's camps, large recreation centers and boarding houses. The second line is occupied by the village itself, its private sector. The settlement is divided into two parts by a road stretching from Genichesk in the direction of Schastlivtsevo and Strelka. At the beginning of Gengorka is the famous baths Hot springs, Sivash Bay with healing mud. Beach Gengorka sand (fine sand with shell), gently sloping beach and the sea bottom sandy. There are no jellyfish in the sea. Its depth at a distance of thirty-forty meters from the shore reaches one and a half meters. In calm weather, the sea water is clean, the bottom is clearly visible, but in windy it becomes muddy due to the fact that small sand and silt rises from the bottom. To swim in the sea Gengorka safely in any weather. Pensions and recreation facilities, built on the first line, have their own beaches. They are equipped with shady canopies, showers, shopping and entertainment facilities. Parents and their children are offered a variety of water activities-riding on the banana and jet ski, catamaran and water slide. Adults can even be instructed and jump from a parachute. The distance from the second coastline of the private sector to the beach area averages three to four hundred meters.
