Oman, facing the eastern end of the Arab, the Persian Gulf and the Indian Ocean, has become the center of maritime trade between Asia and Europe in the past. The capital, Muscat, is one of the oldest cities in the Middle East, which once housed the history of international harbor use and prosperity. Sultan Khabaz Grand Mosque. It is the only place among the 13,000 Muslim temples in Oman where visitors can visit. It is important to give the girl a good access to her hair so that she can not see her hair. You can cover it like this. Sultan Khubus Mosque, which the King of Oman donated and gave up to his name, was built magnificently and gorgeously with the aim of enhancing foreigner understanding of Islam. After passing through the beautiful corridor carved into the walls of the Koran, we finally meet the main hall and prayer room. As you take off your shoes and go out with a good heart, you will find a spacious space full of elaborate decorations. Five times a day, the people of Oman kneel at the same time looking up at Mihrab, pointing towards Mecca, and praying. The light that surrounds the space. The crystal and arabesque patterns add elegance. It's a very nice mosaic. It looks like it's decorated with jewels. I have never seen such a beautiful chandelier. The carpet on the floor is also a work. Iranian women have wool dyed natural wool for four years. In this way, the culture and style of various countries are reflected in the mosque. The pillars are Moroccan style, wooden ceiling decoration is German style, and windows are Christian stained glass style. It is time to see the spirit of embracing the aesthetics of Islamic architecture and other cultures. Oman, who strictly obeys the Islamic tradition but tolerates paganism and adopts an early policy of openness.

Sultan Qaboos Mosque Muscat in 4K
The Sultan #Qaboos #Mosque in #Muscat Oman.
For facts and figures:
From the Oman Tourism Board:
From Rough Guides: Opened in 2001, this is the only mosque in Oman open to non-Muslims and one of the largest in the Gulf, with room for an estimated 20,000 worshippers in the two prayer halls and surrounding courtyard. The mosque itself sits within a walled compound with a minaret at each corner, plus a fifth, larger minaret halfway along the northern wall. The overall style is a kind of stripped-down contemporary Islamic, clad in vast quantities of white and red-brown marble. The minarets offer a nod towards traditional Egyptian architecture, while other decorative touches (such as the wooden ceilings and elaborate tilework) were inspired by Omani and Persian traditions. Other architectural details, such as the impressive latticed golden dome over the central prayer hall, are entirely original.

Lebanon Holiday montage
This Lebanon holiday montage will give you a taste of this country. What did I know about Lebanon?...next to nothing.
I'm guessing that you don't know much about this country either so I put this montage together to give you a taste of this amazing country.
We visited the capital of Lebanon Beirut. Or as the locals call it. Beyrouth. It was amazing and the people are very friendly.
You can be on its Mediterranean beaches in the morning and skiing in its high mountains in the afternoon.
We were going to be staying high up on mount Lebanon in a town called Tannourine and there would be no internet, phones or TV.
So we were basically going on a digital detox for over a month.
I took my video camera and laptop.
It was an amazing experience.
Lebanon is a fascinating country and the people warm and welcoming.

Oman is Home To Me
A song about the people and for the people of Oman.
Since I composed this song all those summers ago, I have had an amazing musical journey with so many wonderful musicians, friends and students. The journey has seen me realise this final recording that is even better than I could have dreamed of. But there were many others on the way who were so supportive in earlier performances of this song.
My heartfelt thanks goes out to the students, staff and parents at The Sultan's School Seeb, for giving the song its world premiere. I will never forget hearing the hearty voices of our entire primary and middle school students, ably accompanied by the rock band and introduced by Samih Mahjoubi on Oud, to give a rendition that moved the staff and parents to tears.
I would also like to thank ABA - An IB World School for their wonderful performances of Oman is Home to Me at school as well as the recording.
Finally to the Muscat Combined Schools Choir, that saw the ABA Secondary Choir join forces with the choirs of the Indian School Muscat (directed by Savio D'Souza) and the British School Muscat (directed by Adrian Clifford) to perform a rousing rendition that was so ably accompanied by Idris Al Balushi, Nibras Al Mullahi, Khaled Al Rahbi, The Horus Duo and the Abouzahra sisters Amira and Mariam for a spectacular public performance that had the audience give it a standing ovation.
To the audiences of parents, musicians and friends who came to support all these performances, I thank you from the bottom of my heart.
You have all inspired me to compose this song that celebrates Oman, that is home to us all!

SUMMARY
=======
Ottoman architecture is the architecture of the Ottoman Empire which emerged in Bursa and Edirne in 14th and 15th centuries. The architecture of the empire developed from the earlier Seljuk architecture and was influenced by the Byzantine architecture, Armenian architecture, Iranian as well as Islamic Mamluk traditions after the conquest of Constantinople by the Ottomans. For almost 400 years Byzantine architectural artifacts such as the church of Hagia Sophia served as models for many of the Ottoman mosques. Overall, Ottoman architecture has been described as Byzantine influenced architecture synthesized with architectural traditions of Central Asia and the Middle East. The Ottomans achieved the highest level architecture in their lands hence or since. They mastered the technique of building vast inner spaces confined by seemingly weightless yet massive domes, and achieving perfect harmony between inner and outer spaces, as well as articulated light and shadow. Islamic religious architecture which until then consisted of simple buildings with extensive decorations, was transformed by the Ottomans through a dynamic architectural vocabulary of vaults, domes, semi domes and columns. The mosque was transformed from being a cramped and dark chamber with arabesque-covered walls into a sanctuary of aesthetic and technical balance, refined elegance and a hint of heavenly transcendence.
Today, one finds remnants of Ottoman architecture in certain parts of its former territories under decay.
