Ararat Lunatic Asylum: Ghost Tour & History
Aradale is known as one of the worlds most haunted places, and rightly so.
A few weeks ago I went on the Aradale Lunatic Asylum paranormal investigation 6 hour tour. It was a very interesting experience and we did have some POSSIBLE 'interaction' with spirits. This video is not about jump scares or how many scary moments I can tell you about, but rather a short condensed history of what went on in this horrible haunted place.
With thanks to our tour guide Jamie from Eerie tours for such a great night(s).

A Brief History: Aradale Asylum
Nate from Eerie tours joins us to give a brief history on Aradale Asylum.
Commissioned to house the growing number of lunatics in the colony of Victoria, this amazing complex was opened for patients in 1865.
This location has a very dark history which opens the door way for a large amount of paranormal activity in and around the huge amount of building that make up this institution.
It is believed that up to 13000 patients died in this facility, and it appears that some are still there.
Big thanks to Nate from Eerie tours for taking the time to talk with Worlds Beyond.

ASYLUM | a real paranormal investigation
We went on a three hour paranormal investigation tour of the Aradale Lunatic Asylum which sits abandoned just outside of Ararat [which is why it's also known as the Ararat Lunatic Asylum]. It's been called Australia's most haunted asylum. I'm not saying you have to believe in ghosts or whatever but man, I can't explain what we saw.
News clip taken from a piece on Aradale by Win News which I found on Youtube but now can't for the life of me.

The Aradale Asylum
A Short documentary discussing the dark history and rumors surrounding one of Australia's most haunted buildings.
Ep. 292 - Aradale Asylum in Australia
Gold brought people to Ararat, but what it would be known for is its asylums. The Aradale Asylum would be home for the mentally ill for over a century and would feature conditions and treatments similar to other asylums around the world, most of which were not good. This misunderstanding and mistreatment of the mentally ill lends itself to the negative energy that sometimes feeds paranormal activity. The fact that the criminally insane were kept in J Ward only heightens that energy. Join me as I explore the history and hauntings of the Aradale Asylum! The Moment in Oddity features Moonshiners using cow shoes to hide footprints and This Month in History features the first photo of an American President.

Haunted Asylum Aradale
Thanks to Nathaniel from Eerie Tours we got the chance to investigate the Aradale Lunatic Asylum. Again we picked up plenty of activity in the female ward and some strange images.
The footage in the female ward has plenty of unexplained lights flying about with an active EMF (K2). We detected nothing much else in the rest of the asylum apart from a few unexplained noises. Very spooky and somewhat tragic place. Enjoy this short vid.

Haunting Australia S01E03 Aradale Lunatic Asylum 8 Apr 2015
Lunatic Asylum
Aradale Mental Hospital was an Australian psychiatric hospital, located in Ararat, a rural city in south-west Victoria, Australia. Originally known as Ararat Lunatic Asylum, Aradale and its two sister asylums at Kew and Beechworth were commissioned to accommodate the growing number of 'lunatics' in the colony of Victoria. Construction began in 1864, and the guardhouses are listed as being built in 1866 though the list of patients extends as far back as the year before (1865). It was closed as an asylum in 1998
