Araku Tribal Museum is located in Araku, a small town in the valley surrounded by hills and many waterfalls, about 110 km’s from Visakhapatnam. Most museums are famous for what they showcase and the galleries they curate for visitors. What makes Araku Valley Tribal museum stand out in my mind is its very structure which is indigenous, absolutely native, right from the architecture, to the material used, to colors and contours. A double storeyed round building in red, with white motifs, painted on it. White window frames and white outlines standing on green lawns. One look and you know it represents the essence of an Indian community.

so hello friends in this video i went to araku tribal museum.it is the oldest tribal museum in india .At a distance of 200 m from Araku Bus Station, Araku Tribal Museum is a wonderful place which explores the tribal culture of Eastern Ghats. It is one of the top tourist places to visit in Araku Valley.
The Andhra Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation established this museum in 1996. Araku Valley boasts of 19 tribes that live in the vicinity of the town. The purpose of the museum is to create awareness about tribal culture and lifestyle. Araku Tribal Museum is not a historical place but offers information about the tribes that currently live here.
Araku Tribal Museum is spread over two levels, built with mud and real metals to portray tribal life. The museum has been designed to showcase tribal lifestyle in motion, starting with a kitchen that displays utensils made of iron and mud. A series of 10 photographs capturing the wedding ceremony of the tribal is very interesting at the entrance. The passages within the museum that connect various sections are constructed of mud walls adorned with drawings and artwork made by tribals. The most impressive section of the Tribal Museum is the one that exhibits the local tribal Mayur and Dhimsa dance.

The Tribal Museum Araku in Araku Valley, Andhra Pradesh
Colourful clay statues of tribal women depict daily lifestyle of Araku Valley at Tribal Museum in Andhra Pradesh.
The Museum of habitat showcases the lifestyle of the tribals who inhabit the valley. The museum, housed in a charming red-roofed bungalow, depicts scenes from the daily lives of the tribals. As we move from room to room, we are greeted by such realistic sculptures of tribals in their natural habitat that on many occasions, visitors take them for real! While a tribal lady cooks the evening meal, another feeds her child and a male tribal watches guard over his family, spear in hand. The weapons of the tribes form a large part of this fascinating but small museum. Their chunky silver jewellery, ornate and elegant, is showcased in the main atrium of the museum.

Araku Tribal Museum is located on ArakuRoad in the center of the Araku Valley. Situated in the surrounding area of Padmapuram Botanical Gardens, this place offers a look at the life of the tribal communities indigenous to the Eastern Ghats. Araku Tribal Museum is constructed with mud and clay and has a rough theme to it. The museum consists of several tribal clay monuments that depict their day-to-day activities in the best possible manner. Various artifacts of the tribal people are exhibited which includes jewellery, hunting tools and kitchen utensils. To encourage tribal art, the museum also possesses a Tribal Art and Crafts Centre, where workshops and exhibitions are held very frequently. Within the museum, accommodation facilities, food stalls and shops selling local products such as handicrafts items made by the tribes and are sold at a reasonable rate.
