About the Walk - I am walking around Ireland. I will be sleeping in a tent and it will take approx 3 months to complete the journey. I was initially just walking to the Great Blasket Islands but things change and I have decided to continue walking all the way around Ireland and back to my starting point in Dublin.
And in case you might be asking yourself, I am walking around Ireland because I really enjoy walking.

In the rainy morning of 5/15/2015, took the ferry from Ros a' Mhíl over the choppy water to the smallest of Aran Islands, Inis Oirr.

Approach and landing in Jodel Mascaret at Inis Mor (Inishmore), Aran Isles in Galway Bay off west coast of Ireland. Irish Summer tour June 2018.
Harbourside tarmac strip 490m with steep up slope (ramp) landing on runway 14. The islands are served by regular commercial Islander flights out of Connemara on the mainland about 10 miles to the north.
There is no on island ATC, all local operations in this area overseen by Connemara Ops, effectively either the depot or airborne communications from the Islander pilots. all very relaxed.
Inis Mor is the largest island and well worth a visit, easy to get to, plenty of accommodation, good B&B within 10 minutes walk of the airfield, about 20 minutes to walk to town, campsite by the harbour, a taxi shuttle bus coincides with Islander flights.

Fantastic trip on the largest of the ARAN ISLANDS -INISHMORE ,14 km lenght and 3.8 km width.I walked around the oceanic majestic cliffs and overnight stay, wild camp.That`s my story,check out what you can see within 30 hours i spent on this beautiful island.I would recommend to everyone to be there.MUSIC; 1. The WORMHOLE...Epic Ireland: 3 days on the Aran Islands / Inis Mor
EPISODE 035: The one where I spend a couple epic days on Ireland's Aran Islands (Inis Mor), hiking and biking in the early shoulder season. I was lucky enough to catch Dún Aonghasa (Dun Aengus) at before the crowds, The Black Fort cliffs before sunset, and the Wormhole without a soul in sight. Ireland is truly beautiful, but the Aran Isles take it up a notch with their seclusion if you catch them at the right time. Cheers!

Flight from Inis Mór to Inis Oírr in the Aran Islands
Flight from Inis Mor to Inis Oirr in the Aran Islands. Aer Arann do a great service to the islands. From the mainland the flight is about 10 minutes but between the islands of Inis Mór and Inis Oírr the flight is only 5 minutes from start to finish and you get a great view of the islands. I had a great day on Inis Oírr (Inisheer) and well worth the trip. You can walk around or hire a bicycle to see the island. The island is about 3km by 3km which means that you should be able to walk most of it in a day trip. You can get more info at
