WALKING TOUR [2019.01] Inside Arario Museum Tapdong Cinema in Jeju Island
A detailed walk-through Arario Museum Tapdong Cinema located in Jeju City.
This building was once a cinema known for its ocean view, but after struggling financially, it was finally closed in 2005.
After several years of neglect and then undergoing an extensive interior remodelling, it was revived as an art museum opened to the public in 2014.
It now houses several contemporary artworks as its permanent collection as well as new exhibitions.

다양한 장르의 아티스트와 콜라보레이션 작업으로 완성된 아라리오 뮤지엄 컨셉 영상 - SONHO de FESTA는 “Can’t live without a dream-꿈 없이 살 수 없다.”는 뮤지엄의 철학을 퍼포먼스 아티스트 Sun-A Lee의 “Micro movement-마이크로 무브먼트”와 연결시켰다.
의심어린 눈초리, 예기치 않은 문제들, 꿈을 짓밟히는 고통과 역경을 지나 운명처럼 다가온 “공간”과의 만남을 시작으로 제주도 탑동씨네마/바이크샵/동문모텔로 이어지는 아라리오뮤지엄 탄생 스토리는 단순하지만 경쾌한 퍼커션 리듬과 함께 꿈의 축제를 예견한다.
