ARCADE CLUB ELA MILL, CORK STREET, BURY, GREATER MANCHESTER, BL9 7BW
37 - Arcade Club in Bury, Lancashire, UK. A very brief visit!
Welcome to another video,
Last weekend, I visited Arcade Club in Bury, Lancashire, UK. It is just down the road from the house and took about 20 mins to get there.
It is situated in an old warehouse/mill building and is a great way to re-purpose an old building.
There are 2 floors to explore ..
Floor 1 is an escape room experience, so its up to the second floor first.
The second floor of the building is the 18+ area where you can experience VR, Pinball machines and high spec gaming PCs. On this visit, we missed out on this floor as I wanted to get some classic arcade action in on the first visit.
The third floor is where it is at for today's visit. Classic arcade cabinets, both stand up and sit down.
We stayed for about 4.5 hours in total, including 30 mins in the cafe for lunch.
When we got there at about 11 am, it was virtually empty. By the time we left at 4 pm it was heaving!!! So get there early if you want less noise and crowds.
Once the floors start to fill it gets very warm too, so bring plenty of money for drinks. You cannot bring your own food or drink into the building, and there is security checking bags etc before you can enter.
You get either a wrist band (when paying for both floors - I think) or a hand stamp when you enter.
If you need to leave and want to come back a few mins later (Say for a cigarette etc) you can go outside to the smoking area, then come back in and show the wrist band or hand stamp for re-entry (Just like a club)
It is a great shame that I wasn't able to film more, but it is hard to play 2 handed games when one is holding a phone, and there were multiple families all around so it wasn't really appropriate to film.
The whole point of going is to enjoy the arcade games so recording was a secondary thought.
When we go again in the next few weeks, I hope to be able to film a little more of the remaining games and the other floor.
Keep watching and there may well be another video uploaded soon.

Arcade Club in Bury
Hi, my little Sinners!!
I know the vid is wobbly I tried my best but its a very small space to record in, maybe next time we will be there earlier and it will be better.
HISTORY
Born out of a passion for classic gaming and arcade machines, the Arcade Club has grown from a small room to a converted mill in just a few short years. Driven by a passionate team and community, and an ever-expanding library of games and facilities, the goal remains the same: provide access to as many people as possible to gaming’s history and the joy of visiting the “local” arcade.

Very good...a few small issues
As the title suggests very good but a few small issues, got there about 11.30 after a 2 hour drive, quite easy to find there’s a bit of parking in the main car park not loads if I were to go again I would go early to get a space as it did get a bit busy in the afternoon, loved the old school arcade games I used to play in the 80’s track and field, pole position etc, and my little boy enjoyed Minecraft on the PC’s, had to wait a bit for certain machines as sometimes people do hog one particular game at times but it wasn’t too bad, it was really quite cold in there was the first thing I noticed on entry, the admission is value for money, decided to get some dinner about 1.30 only to be told they had run out of hot dogs and only had one type of pie! Was disappointed in that that shouldn’t really happen on one of your busiest days so early in the day, would of liked a slightly bigger menu maybe chips and nuggets for children, all in all had a great day for my boys birthday will return and would recommend, the small issues didn’t put me off or ruin the day I will return as I am arranging a works do just a shame it’s not closer to where we live.

Awsome location, my Autistic son loved it
My son found out about Arcade club online and had been asking to go for about 6 months, unfortunately about 4 hours away. Anyway visited with Son (10) and Daughter (6) while in the area and we all loved it. They were disappointed they couldn't go on both floors, but totally understand, they were disappointed that there were only a couple of Pinball machines on the kid's floor, but weren't allowed to play as over 18's only, although not sure why they were for over 18's
Son is pushing already for another visit, so am sure will be back later in the year.
