Archaeological Museum of Drama
The Archaeological Museum of Drama covers chronologically the human presence in the prefecture of Drama from the Middle Paleolithic Age (50,000 years from now), with traces of Palaeolithic hunters living in the cave Sources of Aggitis until modern times (1913).
The exhibition consists of three main halls.
The first archaeological findings indicate the presence of nomadic hunters of the Middle Paleolithic Age in the cave Sources of Aggitis, life to permanent farming Neolithic settlements and the passage in Bronze Age in the city of Drama and position Sitagri. In the same room there are findings from the Iron Age and from the later times, which is dominated by the cult of God Dionysus.
In the second room architectural sculptures, pottery and coins attest the continuity of life in Drama and in the entire area during the Early Christian, Byzantine and after Byzantine times.
In the third room of the exhibition, which is roofed atrium, the visitor can admire sculptures organized into three sections. The first includes architectural sculptures from ancient times to the Ottoman Empire. The second contains votive monuments associated with the cult of various gods of Greco-Roman pantheon and local deities, with particular reference to Dionysus. In the third section there are funerary monuments of Hellenistic and Roman times.

We drove to Arahoba village in the middle of Parnassus mountain for 15 minutes by car. The town of Arahoba is well known as a place to film the drama The Sun of the Fallen. When I entered the town, I could see the clock tower, and the male and female protagonist of the drama kissed in front of the clock tower. The tower was originally built as a church bell tower in 1860, but collapsed in the great earthquake of 1870 and rebuilt as a clock tower in 1966. In the old days, I used it as a warehouse. I kept cheese mostly. At that time, there was no electricity, so it was a substitute for the refrigerator. I thought there would be a lot of tourists because of the beautiful scenery of the village. Most stores also closed. Hello. Hello. Why do not you have people in the village? Everybody goes to the festival. I'm doing a festival for an adult Georgios. He fought for independence here in 1824. I'll go. Yes, go quickly. Today is the last day of the festival. I have to hurry. If I go up now, I will throw the iron. I wrestle. Why are we playing? St. Georgios is the patron saint of the town. So it's been a long time for him to honor him. Legend has it that St. Georgios defeated the dragon that harassed the villagers of Riviere and saved the villagers. After that, other villagers also celebrate him and open festivals, hoping he will protect his village. In the front yard of the church, athletic competition is in full swing. Then a lamb entered the stadium. It's brought in by villagers who live in the village. It's a Greek folk game called the 'Palais'. At first glance, it looks like our wrestling. This game is a game in which the player who touches the ground touches the ground. In the early stages, the player with the black outfit prevailed, but he lost with a mistake of the moment. That kid won now. Now the child will go with the child who won the game. During the four days of the festival, the winner is finally born in the tournament format. In the restaurant next to the church, people stand in line and wait for something. It's a tradition. I'm going to give it to everyone at the end of the festival today. I followed the uncle who was carrying a tray of bread and cheese in a lamb. The appearance of the game was gone, and the banquet was held in a big room. The residents gather in their own unique outfits. In Arahoba, each has its own traditional clothing. This is my clothes, but it's expensive, but it's embroidered. I wear my own clothes for this day.

Tourism in Drama (Greece)
The rich forests of the prefecture, which is made up of mountain slopes, rivers and caves, churches, monasteries, castles and bridges come together to make up a unique area in terms of prosperity while at the same time offering a variety of things for a tourist to do. Such a wealth of natural and manmade beauty and history throughout the whole Prefecture calls upon us to explore it and get to know it better.
The Prefecture of Drama gives us the chance to wander through unique spruce forests; to enjoy the monuments left to us by mother nature (caves, gorges and much more); to trek or climb in the mountains or cliffs; to walk along cultural routes by visiting Byzantine and post-Byzantine monasteries and churches, archaeological sites and local museums; to attend popular cultural events and take part in local church festivals or artistic happenings.
The environment allows us to engage in agro-tourism helping people to familiarize themselves with the way of life and the hospitality offered by the residents of the area by following all forms of agricultural activity. And if we want to satisfy our environmental interests we can admire the rare species of flora and fauna close up, which find a home in the rich forest, and water ecosystems of the area.
In order to cater for the tourist needs, a significant network of tourist facilities is being completed which have been set among the forest and agricultural environment of the prefecture and which have been suitably incorporated into the landscape. At the same the time hotel facilities in Drama offer their services, at adequate prices, to those who prefer the hospitality of the city.

GREECE: EXPLORING ANCIENT THEATER built on rocky hillside 2400 years ago in ARGOS ????️
SUBSCRIBE: - Let's go visit the ancient theater of Argos, which was built in 320 BC. The Hellenistic theater at Argos is cut into the hillside of the Larisa Hill, with 90 steps up a steep incline, forming a narrow rectilinear cavea. Among the largest theaters in Greece, it held about 20,000 spectators and is divided by two landings into three horizontal sections. Nearby from this site is Agora, Roman Odeon, and the Baths of Argos. The theater is one of the largest architectural developments in Greece and was renovated in ca 120 AD.
Greece is a country in southeastern Europe with thousands of islands throughout the Aegean and Ionian seas. Influential in ancient times, it's often called the cradle of Western civilization. Athens, its capital, retains landmarks including the 5th-century B.C. Acropolis citadel with the Parthenon temple. Greece is also known for its beaches, from the black sands of Santorini to the party resorts of Mykonos.

Drama in Archaeology: Performative archaeology and Process Drama
Since the 1970s Drama is considered a valuable and effective medium that can communicate difficult and complex ideas to any age audience that has no prior experience or knowledge about the target context that Drama each time aims to demonstrate. The adaptability that Drama offers, has created a variety of applied Drama “sub-disciplines” (e.g. Drama in Education, Sociological Drama, Drama in Prisons) in which Drama is implemented in order not only to engage the audience with the new knowledge, but to assist the audience in order to self- understand and reacknowledge existing embodied knowledge. This paper aims to explore what Drama-inArchaeology can offer regarding the cultural heritage, the historic cultures and practices and the interpretation and understanding of the archaeological evidence. The paper is developed in two stages; first it evaluates previous applications of Process Drama in museum education, experimental archaeology and engagement of unfamiliar audiences with an archaeological context. Second it explores theoretical ideas that can be implementing in order to achieve a better understanding of the use of space, in the context of the use of caves in the Neolithic Balkans and in the post-medieval Kythera island in Greece. Finally, this paper aims to leave a note for the future, that Drama can be implemented as a tool for archaeology and Drama in Archaeology can be a new sub-discipline for drama facilitators.
