Brazil: Fans say farewell to deceased Chapecoense players at Arena Conda memorial
Around 120,000 mourners gathered inside the Arena Conda, the home stadium of the Chapecoense football team, Saturday, to pay tribute to the football players and support staff who perished in the recent airplane crash in Colombia.
The family and friends of the victims as well as local residents gathered for the open-air memorial under heavy rain. Soldiers carried the coffins of the deceased football players across the pitch amid heavy rain.
There were 77 people in total on board the British Aerospace 146 short-haul aircraft when it went down in Colombia at 20:00 local time (01:00 GMT), Tuesday. Seventy-one people were killed in the tragedy including 64 Brazilian nationals, 19 of whom were Chapecoense football players.

10. SOUNDBITE (Portuguese) Nenem, Chapecoense midfielder:
From a year to another you normally have 60 to 70 percent of the group of players returning (for a new season). But then, when you arrive at that locker room and you can only see some workers… look to every locker from all the players that were here and you won't have that picture again, you won't have the presence of them again, it's really, it's hard, it's painful, an emptiness that there are no words to explain. But, then again, you fill yourself with hope when you see Neto, after all this time, after all that he went through, you open the door and the first thing you see is him, it's something that gives you a hope, a strength so powerful that you can't soften, you can't weaken at this moment.
11. Nenem (UPSOUND) Portuguese - It was a long time I haven't been doing these gives the thumbs up
12. SOUNDBITE (Portuguese) Nenem, Chapecoense midfielder:
When we go into the pitch, may we honour all what it is the history of Chapecoense and honour all those teammates. They went doing what they wanted to do, to show the world how you live football. Not only because of money, fame, trophies, but to live in harmony.
13. Nivaldo, Chapecoense's former goalkeeper turned manager, giving jersey to new goalkeeper Artur Moraes
14. Artur Moraes wearing jersey
15. SOUNDBITE (Portuguese) Artur Moraes, new Chapecoense goalkeeper:
This rebuilding will be marked forever. And when you have the opportunity, the privilege to be part of it, I think that only few players would say no (to play at Chapecoense).
