Meat is put down for the birds which brings them in. In winter, the birds gather in large groups.

Well worth a visit to this hide on Argaty farm where they feed Red Kites at 2.30pm daily. £4 an adult, £10 a family. Lovely birds, catch buzzards too.

Andrew's been out Shooting in the Wild in Argaty. Wildlife photography requires a lot of discipline and waiting around, tense and ready to get the money shot. Luckily in Argaty, just two minutes from the borough of Doune, there's a place where even the most impatient person can witness an amazing spectacle! It just happens to be the home to quite a few red kites! Even luckier for us, Andrew's done the hard work and got some brilliant slo-mo shots of the birds in flight.
Shooting In the Wild follows local wildlife filmmaker Andrew O'Donnell as he discovers the best spots across Scotland to capture amazing footage of the Scottish wildlife. From camping out in hides for hours to trekking with heavy kit along rivers - it's all worth it to get the perfect shot.
