Argyll Forest Park - Scotland
Argyll Forest Park is a land of rugged peaks and hidden dales, peaceful lakes and bubbling rivers. It’s Britain’s oldest Forest Park, founded in 1935. The park stretches from the Holy Loch to the jagged peaks of the Arrochar Alps. It is situated at the end of the Highland Boundary Fault, the great crack in the Earth’s surface that marks the line between Lowland and Highland Scotland.
The music which comes with the slide-show is from Celtic Spirit, Album Lyra II, Title: Avondale (2009)

The Cowal Peninsula - The West Scotland Adventure - Stage 12
* Tarmac Tourism // Asphalt Adventures // Road Reviews * Stage 12 would see us driving from the Rest and be thankful viewpoint to Dunoon using the A815, a distance of 32 miles.
The Argyll Forest Park can be found on the Cowal Peninsula and was established in 1935, it was the first Forest Park to be established in the United Kingdom.
Most of the Forest Park lies within the Loch Lomond & the Trossachs National Park, which was established in 2002 and is the fourth largest National Park in The British Isles.
The town of Dunoon (Scottish Gaelic: Dùn Omhain) can be found on the Cowal peninsula in the south of Argyll and Bute, on the western shores of the upper Firth of Clyde.
The town was a popular tourist destination during the age of steamships which used to sail around the Firth of Clyde and became a garrison town to the United States Navy who had a base at the nearby Holy Loch from 1961 until 1992.
The Cowal Highland Gathering is an annual event held in the town and in 2018 The Royal National Mòd will be held in the town, which has been held here seven times before.
The Gantocks Rocks can be found off the coast nearby and local wildlife includes seals, sea otters, dolphins, basking sharks, roe deer, red deer, red squirrels, and many species of birds
The West Scotland Adventure was a 2000 mile road trip to find the best roads and scenery in West Scotland. Subscribe so you don't miss an episode!

Old Photographs Of Whistlefield Argyll And Bute Scotland
Tour Scotland wee video of old photographs of Whistlefield, a hamlet on the east shore of Loch Eck on the Cowal Peninsula, Argyll and Bute. Blethering Ben - 81 - A walk up Puck's Glen
Everyone loves waterfalls don't they? But Puck's Glen in Argyll, with more waterfalls than you can count, takes the experience to a whole new level. I was worried that this short walk, regularly cited as one of the finest short walks in Scotland wouldn't live up to the hype.......but this strange, sopping wet and very very green Victorian oddity more than delivers.
This video blog takes you the full distance of the glen from the bottom to the top, through the lower and then upper sections. Be warned though, the constant roar of rushing water might make you want to nip to the loo!
