Magnificent Arjuna Temple, Dieng Plateau - Indonesia Travel Part 1
I am going to show you an experience when i was travelling at Arjuna Temple in Dieng Plateau tourism complex, Indonesia. Domestic people call it Candi Arjuna (Arjuna Temple). Arjuna Temple is one of group of Dieng Temple Complex (Arjuna Temple , Srikandi Temple, Puntadewa Temple, Sembadra Temple, Semar Temple, Gatutkaca Temple, Bima Temple, Dwarawati Temple). You should know indonesia has many ancient heritage especially coming from the age of kingdom which spread along indonesian archipelago.
Arjuna temple is one block of temples in Dieng (wonosobo, indonesia) where much visited by tourists both domestic and foreign. If you travelled here you would enjoy amazing landscape because Dieng is a kind of plateau where enriched by natural landscape surrounding. In Arjuna temple block there are 4 main magnificent building of temples and 1 accompanying temple. Before entering the Arjuna temple block we welcome with block of Darmasala slipped in between the pine trees under foot of mountain. in this block of Darmasala stones neatly formed a foundation, near the foundation there is residence like cottage that still exists, This is where brahmana devoted their lives as well as the place of reception of guests. In this block of Darmasala, we can see two foundations of houses located in the left and right side complete with it's Yoni and Lingga. we will enjoy not only the temple at this location. In block of Arjuna temple we also can feel the cold circumstance. There usually lay the ice that frozen on the sidelines of the temple as the sun has not come the morning.
Arjuna temple is a temple that looks very perfect style of architect, attractive but simple. This temple can attract the tourists to invite to take pictures together with friends or family. Arjuna temple is a temple of the most perfect and complete from the base end of the temple to temple-shaped buds Padma or often called the lotus. Inside the Arjuna temple there is supposedly holy water pooled in the yoni. It is said also supposedly that holy water will never runs out though on whether the advent of the dry season or spring. Until now it is still considered sacred by the local people who still believe.

Dieng temples are the masterpiece of the Sanjaya dynasty as the oldest Hindu temple in Java in the 7th century that still looks manly on the Dieng plateau.

The Oldest Hindu Temple of Dieng Plateau Settled in Central Java
Arjuna Temple is a Hindus’s temple relics of the 7th century which is located in Dieng Plateau. This is the oldest Hindu’s Temple in Java, and was a reminiscence of Ancient Mataram Kingdom.
Arjuna Temple Complex consists of 5 temples in the same place. They are Arjuna Temple, Semar Temple, Sembadra Temple, Srikandi Temple, and Puntadewa Temple. However, Arjuna still becomes the prime temple to visit.
Getting around the temple would be a satisfying experience, because it offers fresher atmosphere and more beautiful scenery. Above all, the route for trekking is available for visitors. Tourists are able to walk around the temples on a footpath.

Arjuna Temple in Dieng Kulon Village, Banjarnegara District Central Java Indonesia
Travelers have many reasons to come to Dieng Plateau. The most common one is to visit majestic temples that scatter in several locations of such amazing tourist spot. When it is about Dieng Temple, it is likely Arjuna Temple is considered the most famous one. Located in 2093 meters above sea level, that house of God becomes offers both stunning scenery and an amazing landscape. Being a reminiscence of Ancient Mataram Kingdom, it also attracts both tourists and historians. Not to mention it consists of several temples on which visitors can explore.
Arjuna Temple resides on a land with a measurement of 1 hectare. In the location, Arjuna becomes the prime temple to visit. In front of it, there is Semar Temple. The rest temples that share the same location as Arjuna’s are Sembadra, Srikandi, and Puntadewa. All of them look gorgeous, having their uniqueness and beauty. The size of Arjuna temple is 6x6 m and it faces west. The main feature of the temple is called Kala Makara, residing by the entrance. The shape of the roof features several tiers with small towers on it.
The real name of the temples, the history and the king responsible for the construction of these temples ware unknown. This is because the scarcity of data and inscription connected to the construction of these temples. The local Javanese population named each temples according to Javanese wayang characters, mostly taken from Mahabharata epic.

Candi Arjuna merupakan salah satu bangunan candi di Kompleks Percandian Arjuna, Dieng. Di kompleks ini juga terdapat Candi Semar, Candi Srikandi, Candi Puntadewa, dan Candi Sembadra. Candi Arjuna terletak paling utara dari deretan percandian di kompleks tersebut. Sementara itu, Candi Semar adalah candi perwara atau pelengkap dari Candi Arjuna. Kedua bangunan candi ini saling berhadapan.
Seperti umumnya candi-candi di Dieng, masyarakat memberikan nama tokoh pewayangan Mahabarata sebagai nama candi.

The Dieng Plateau in Java Island, Indonesia, is THE place to visit if you're interested in active volcanic craters, beautiful multi-coloured lakes, ancient Hindu temples or just wanting to escape the heat of lowland Indonesia.
The word Dieng comes from Di Hyang, which means 'Abode of the Gods'. This marshy upland plateau (2000m above sea level) is fascinating to explore and features many fascinating attractions for travellers.
Dieng is famous for its active volcanic craters, which emit thick clouds steam and sulphurous fumes into the air. You must not miss the Sikidang Crater or the Sileri Crater as these two are awesome.
Dieng is also famous for its ancient hindu temples which originate form the Kalingga Kingdom and date back to the 7th century. The best place to see these is at the Arjuna Hindu Temple Complex where you can see several temples in one site , although there are a few more scattered around the area.
The multicoloured Telaga Warna or 'Coloured Lake' can present a variety of different colours including yellow, green, turquoise, blue and other colours, depending on the weather conditions and sulphur content. You can climb to viewpoints above the lake for extraordinary views and wonderful photographs.
Dieng Plateau is also famous for agriculture and a lot of potatoes, cabbages, eggplants and other vegetables are grown here.
Some native children, born in the Dieng Plateau region have a mysterious condition in which their hair naturally grows in a matted or tangled manner and the tangles cannot be removed with a comb. We didn't get to meet any such children unfortunately.
Locations in the video from the Dieng Plateau include: Telaga Warna (coloured lake), Arjuna Hindu Temple Complex, Sikidang Crater, Sileri Crater, Chandradimuka Crater, Nila Lake and Sumur Jalatunda (100m deep hole filled with water).
