Pembinaan muzium ini cetusan fikiran mantan Panglima Tentera Darat (PTD), Jen. Tan Sri Md Hashim bin Hussein dalam usaha untuk meningkatkan taraf profesionalisme warga Tentera Darat dengan mengembangkan aspek intelektual, budaya cintakan organisasi dan menghayati sejarah Tentera Darat.
Replika terowong komunis yang bertujuan memberi pengalaman sebenar kepada setiap pengunjung. Disini terdapat artifak asal dan panel grafik untuk membantu pelawat
merasai sendiri bagaimana teruknya para askar semasa bertarung dengan komunis dulu. Replika terowong bawah tanah sepanjang 142 meter bermula dari Blok B dengan dua pintu keluar iaitu di Kampung Hutan dan Pesawat Caribou

There are various artifacts and historical replicas of the colonial colonial era until Malaysia achieved independence.
Army Museum is the largest military museum in Malaysia. It is comparable to military museums from abroad based on infrastructure equipment and filling materials within this museum.
This is confirmed by the former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad. The launch of the Museum TD was inspired by Army Chiefs (PTD), Jen. Tan Sri Md Hashim bin Hussein. The museum was set up in an effort to upgrade the Army's professionalism by developing the intellectual, cultural and organizational love of the organization and embracing TD history.

马来西亚旅游局曾授予陆军博物馆“2005-2006 年度全国最佳旅游景点（历史遗产类）”的荣誉。

The Army Museum, known locally as Muzium Tentera Darat, is located next to a military base off the main road at 5th mile, about 7km away from Port Dickson town in Sirusa district. A property of the Malaysian Royal Armed Forces, the museum traces its exploits and achievements through history, trumped up with dramatised aspects and romantic story-telling.
In addition to the museum buildings, the spacious grounds also house decommissioned military vehicles, including planes, tanks and artillery guns, and a memorial fountain dedicated to soldiers who served through Malaysia's war history. Open daily from morning till evening, entry is free for all visitors.
