BFG parachute centre stays open 22.03.12
The Parachute Centre in Bad Lippspringe is continuing to operate jumps for military personnel and civilians, despite initial fears that it would close.
Formerly the Joint Services Parachute Centre, it is now run by the Rhine Army Parachuting Association, meaning that jumping can continue, but on a smaller scale.
Civilians are also able to jump here and last weekend, a group of wives from 1 YORKS held a charity jump. The money raised will go towards an operation for Thomas, the son of a 1 YORKS soldier, and enable him to walk. To find out more see: justgiving.com/makeastandforthomas
