Mountain Biking at Welcome Rock, Garston NZ
Welcome Rock trails is a private high country station. Apart from the awesome 27km mountain bike loop, you can also hike and stay the night at 1100m!
The trail is located on one of NZ's longest historic gold mining water races (Roaring Lion water race). I tried to capture the essence of 'The Roaring Lion Trail' and I hope my short video gives you an idea of the amazing 27km, 3hr ride I completed on a wonderful New Zealand spring day.

Skippers Canyon Guided Ride
Vertigo has the exclusive rights to guide you down the famous and historic Skippers Canyon, an area so rich in gold mining history you can smell the gold that is still in the hills! One of the most breathtakingly beautiful areas in New Zealand, this is a great way to experience the majestic surroundings of the once bustling gold mining area whilst taking in an awesome mountain bike experience.
Let Vertigo do the hard part and drive you from town to the top of Skippers Saddle where you can take in the spectacular scenery looking over the Harris and Richardson Mountains. From here it is on yer bike and we let gravity take over! The great thing about this trip is that there are two choices of track depending on your mountain biking experience and we do two runs in the Canyon, so you can mix it up if you want.
For less experienced riders you can ride down the Skippers Canyon Road which winds its way down the canyon with never ending spectacular views and photo opportunities. For those of you with a bit of riding experience we have the Skippers Pack Track trail to tackle, which is renowned as one of New Zealand's best mountain bike rides. This trail is 100% singletrack and was the original pack trail the gold miners built to get in and out of the canyon (thanks old timers!). They sure knew how to build mountain bike trails back then! The pack trail is a real gem, cut into the valley side, it flows like water, winding down for 5km with rocks, ruts and stream crossings to tackle (and the odd cow pat as it is still part of a working farm station).

Queenstown, Otago, New Zealand tour
Queenstown is a resort town in Otago in the south-west of New Zealand's South Island. In 2016, Queenstown overtook Oamaru to become the second largest urban area in Otago, behind Dunedin.
The town is built around an inlet called Queenstown Bay on Lake Wakatipu, a long thin Z-shaped lake formed by glacial processes, and has spectacular views of nearby mountains such as The Remarkables, Cecil Peak, Walter Peak and just above the town; Ben Lomond and Queenstown Hill.
The Queenstown-Lakes District has a land area of 8,704.97 square kilometres not counting its inland lakes. Its neighbouring towns include Arrowtown, Glenorchy, Kingston, Wanaka, Alexandra, and Cromwell. The nearest cities are Dunedin and Invercargill. Queenstown is known for its commerce-oriented tourism, especially adventure and ski tourism.
A resort town, Queenstown boasted 220 adventure tourism activities in 2012. Skiing and snowboarding, jet boating, whitewater rafting, bungy jumping, mountain biking, skateboarding, tramping, paragliding, sky diving and fly fishing are all popular.
Queenstown is a major centre for snow sports in New Zealand, with people from all over the country and many parts of the world travelling to ski at the four main mountain ski fields. Cross country skiing is also available at the Waiorau Snowfarm, near Cardrona village.
The 100-year-old twin screw coal fired steamer TSS Earnslaw traverses Lake Wakatipu.
Queenstown lies close to the centre of a small wine producing region, reputed to be the world's southernmost. The Two Paddocks vineyard is owned by local actor Sam Neill. Neighbouring, historic Arrowtown features restaurants and bars.
