The Price of Freedom: a 20 min film shown on 9 screens in a circular cinema offering a medley of hitherto unscreened archives filmed in by war correspondents in 1944 and present-day images on the same sites. Film projections 10 minutes and 40 minutes past each hour. The free or guided visit in French or English, lasts 45 minutes.

The Mémorial de Caen museum offers its visitors a historical journey through the 20th century, discovering major events from the end of the First World War to the fall of the Berlin Wall. It has a whole section covering D-Day and is the only museum in Normandy to relate the intensity of the Invasion that followed and explain its preparation in both enemy camps.
The Arromanches 360 Circular Cinema is the only circular cinema in France where the film is projected in High Definition on 9 screens. It projects the film 'Normandy 100's days' which tells the story of the terrible Battle of Normandy thanks to archive images gathered from around the world. It's a very moving tribute to soldiers from all countries and to the 20,000 civilians who were killed during this battle.

D Dag 75 års jubilæum - Vlog 5 - Arromanches og 360 Graders biograf
Peer Neslein fra Campingferie.dk har i denne vlog-serie sat kursen mod Normandiet i anledningen af 75 års jubilæet for D-dagen den 6. juni.
Turen er samtidigt en guidet campingtur hvor 24 campister er med i deres egne vogne og telte på den samme campingplads hele ugen.
På turen besøges nogle af de største seværdigheder der kan opleves på Invasionskysten, hvor de ligeledes er så heldige at møde flere veteraner som var med da de allierede gik i land den 6. juni 1944.
Mange af disse soldater var kun 17-20 år ved invasionen i 1944 og er således i dag i 90’erne. Mange er desværre afgået ved døden, men dette jubilæum er måske sidste chance for at opleve de tapre soldater som satte deres liv på spil for at befri Europa.
I udsendelserne i denne serie kommer vi til en række af de kendte strande som Utah Beach, Omaha Beach, Sword Beach, Gold Beach samt Juno Beach.
Peer Besøger også de 2 store kirkegårde La Cambe som rummer 21.222 tyske soldater og den amerikanske ved Omaha Beach som har 9.386 marmor kors.
På turen fortæller Peer også om den uheldige amerikanske faldskærmssoldat der landede i et kirkespir. mindesmærket for danske søfolk, Kanonstillingen Longues Sur Mer, den kunstige havn i Arromanches, Pegasus Bridge samt forskellige museer og den spændende 360 graders biograf med lærred hele vejen rundt i den runde sal.

Day 5 of 17: Today we have to drive a longer distance (246 Km), from Honfleur to Mont Saint Michel.
On this rout we make a stopover at the famous beaches at Pointe du Hoc, where D-Day startet and a lot of man lost their lives.
So sad, but priceless for the freedom.
It's our responsibility to remember, never forget.

Arromanches-les-Bains is a French commune in the Calvados department in the Normandie region of north-western France. The inhabitants of the commune are known as Arromanchais or Arromanchaises
Arromanches-les-Bains is located some 12 km north-east of Bayeux and 10 km west of Courseulles-sur-Mer on the coast in the heart of the area where the Normandy landings took place on D-Day, 6 June 1944. Access to the commune is by the D514 road from Tracy-sur-Mer in the west passing through the town and continuing to Saint-Côme-de-Fresné in the east. The D87 road also goes from the town south to Ryes. The D65 road goes east to Meuvaines. About a third of the commune is the urban area of the town with the rest farmland.
Arromanches les Bains is remembered as a historic place of the Normandy landings and in particular as the place where an artificial port was installed. This artificial port allowed the disembarkation of 9,000 tons of material per day.
