Art Academy of Latvia 75th Carnival
Art Academy of Latvia located at Kalpaka bulvāris 13 .wmv
Come join TheCeļotājs visit to the outside area of the Art Academy of Latvia located at Kalpaka bulvāris 13.
The Art Academy of Latvia the AAL was founded in 1921 thanks to the intention of its first Rector Vilhelms Purvītis. The aim was to create a higher educational establishment for art studies in Latvia. A modernized academic education, openness to current art processes and contribution of the pedagogues as well as high-level performance of students ensured authority, which was maintained not only in the 20s and 30s, but also in the following decades. The Art Academy of Latvia continues to be the basis for national education in art.
During the dramatic events of World War II, regardless the hardship and repression in the circumstances of occupation, the academic staff carried on the teaching of students, being confident that their duty was to hand over their knowledge to students.
In times of the Soviet period 1944-1990, in the presence of constant ideological pressure, the AAL attempted to maintain democratic teaching traditions, by building the relations of lecturers and students on mutual trust.
Political Awakening and the restoration of Latvia's independence in 1990, which formed preconditions for the renewal of traditional workshop-type training and reintegration in the world's art and cultural processes, originated the need to search for a dynamic balance between the academic tradition of art pedagogy and the modern cultural paradigm, which is determined by the new art media.

Stunning Architecture in Riga, Latvia| Art Nouveau Riga| Jugendstil | Visit Riga| Travel Latvia
Riga is the perfect destination for architecture lovers. It is a hidden gem waiting to be explored. Art Nouveau or Jugendstil is widely recognizable when walking the streets of Riga.
This video captures Alberta Street, Elizabetes Street and Antonijas Street- 3 amazing streets situated right next to each other, the perfect route for an architecture walk. I promise your neck will be hurting after walking these streets and looking up at the beautiful details of each building.
The beauty they entail is hard to describe or capture into a video.
I'm really sorry for the shaky camera footage but hopefully, this video gives you a little insight on how beautiful Riga is and I highly suggest you to consider it as one of your future travel destinations.
Wishing you a beautiful day,
-Amelie

Both of them are going to sin and look for apples made out of gold, and the gates “Virtual Paradise Garden” will opem for them. There they are destined to meet with a friendly cyber punk, digital unicorn and maybe even some shy pixel.

Fantastic Riga Views and Tour of Latvian Academy of Sciences
Built in the 50’s the Latvian Academy of Sciences is a great example of Stalinist-era architecture. Tour the building, spooky dark floors, and witness the beautiful views of Riga from the Observation Deck on the 17th Floor. We see all the great landmarks of Riga and the Daugava River on a crisp Autumn day with sunny blue skies blessing Riga in sunshine.
Latvia: Education
Effects of the economic crisis in Latvia are being felt even here, at Preschool 200 in Riga, where materials are harder to buy and salaries harder to pay.
