Cotswold d5 pt1: Painswick
Day 5 in the Cotswolds starts bright and cheerful in the pretty town of Painswick. I show off some of the churchyard and talk about the town's medieval history in the wool trade before starting the official hike of the day.

Creepy Places Global: St. Mary's Churchyard
Our new Website:

Andrew and Charles travel to Painswick, England to a 15th century church called St. Mary's. The church was the site for a battle between Royalist and Parliamentarians during the English Civil War in the 17th century, resulting in some damage that is still seen today. Additionally, the churchyard is home to some interesting tombs and monuments, along with the Yew Trees. A legend states that only 99 Yew Trees can be planted in the churchyard, because if a 100th one is planted...the Devil will come and take it!
