UPPER ZAKOPANE 1 - sightseeing walk recommended by DiscoverZakopane
Take a minibus going via Jaszczurowka from the bus station or one of the bus stops. After getting to Jaszczurówka (this is a part of Zakopane situated some 5km far from Krupowki) visit lovely chapel which was built in 1908 to a design from Stanisław Witkiewicz. Then walk back to the centre along the Balzera street. On the way you will see the Nosal ski centre (on the left) and Orthopedic Clinic built in 1917 to help children suffering from tuberculosis osteo-articular. On the first junction turn to the right and immediately to the left and follow Droga na Antałówke street. On the left you will see the Museum of family Kulczycki and little bit further impressive Willa pod Jedlami (Villa beneath the Firs), which is one of the best examples of the Zakopianski Architectural Style. Go straight on admiring nice view on Zakopane and western Tatras, turn to the left and follow Broniewskiego street. Before the bridge turn into the small Bulwary Slowackiego street. At the end of Bulwary you will see a nice, wooden church. Turn to the left (Jagiellońska street) and then to the right (Sienkiewicza street). 300 meters further you will see the yellow building of the shool on the right - turn to the small road between the buildings which is via a vis this school. After 400 meters and few turns (right, left, right, left) you will get to the green fields of Rowien Krupowa and from here it is just few minutes walk to Krupowki street. The whole walk is about 5 km long, and only first 1km is uphill. More active tourists can combine this walk with 2-3 hiking in the Tatra National Park (Kuznice - Przelecz Nosalowa (Nosalowa Pass) - Dolina Olczyska (Olczyska Valley) - Jaszczurowka. Enjoy!
