Tel Aviv. Nachalat Binyamin the largest arts and crafts market in Israel,
Nachalat Binyamin is the largest arts and crafts market in Israel, and probably also the most fascinating. Despite its large size, the Nachalat Binyamin Market maintains strict quality controls. Firstly, each artist is regularly at the market and has to be approved by a committee as a person as well as in what they are selling. Secondly, all works must be original and handmade (apart from sometimes replicas). And thirdly, each artist must personally sell their works, making it that bit more authentic. It has also created a community of the artists who see each other every week and share techniques, materials, and ideas.

The secret Banksys of Israel- Street art in Tel Aviv
Site Specific- Street art & graffiti tour
Tel Aviv is becoming one of the most culturally rich cities in the Middle East. Join us on this magical tour through the side streets and alleys of the urban scenery around Nachalat Binyamin Street and Levinsky Market. We will show you the best works of the street art and graffiti that color the walls of our public lives. We will go through the arts & crafts market, enjoy the lovely atmosphere and amazing street performances. The tour will cover the history, philosophy, styles and different meanings of the art constantly changing around us.
Graffiti and street art can be found in almost every street in Tel Aviv, However it is most common in southern Tel Aviv, and the Florentin neighborhood in particular. Elifelet St, HaMehoga St, Abarbanel, 3361 Street & Hanagarim St, are hotspots for Tel Aviv street art.
While graffiti is illegal in Israel, the municipality of Tel Aviv turns a blind eye to works of graffiti work in certain areas, with the Florentin neighborhood being notable among them. A big part of the graffiti in this area is painted on the doors and gates of various businesses thus we recommend to walk around and explore during the afternoon, when most businesses are closed and the artwork is more easily spotted.
While most graffiti artists remain anonymous, you can very often recognize their work by their signature or by the theme of the artwork. The area we are about to explore is filled with graffiti work by known artists such as “Sened”, “Dede”, “know hope” and more, each have an artistic style that is unique to them.
Our ‘do it yourself street art tour of Tel Aviv’ will help you spot out main art pieces in south Tel Aviv. You can follow the map to find some of the most known pieces, and use the information provided to recognize specific artists and find more of their pieces throughout Tel Aviv.

Tel Aviv’s White City is named for its large number of Bauhaus or International style buildings. Brought to the city by Jews from Germany and Austria, this unique style of architecture led to the construction of hundreds of beautiful light-buildings lining tree-lined streets and boulevards, a recreation of the cities of the countries from which they originated. Named a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2003, the White City, and in particular the streets of Rothschild Boulevard, Sheinkin Street, and Bialik Street are places for you to take a quiet stroll whilst in the city, and maybe step into one of the many cafes and restaurants that can be found across this area of Tel Aviv.

Nachlat Binyamin - Tel Aviv Arts and Crafts Fair
SInce 1987, Israeli craftspeople have exhibited their wares every Tuesday and Friday on Nachlat Benyamin, in Tel Aviv. Each week, about 10,000 people come to the market, to check out the original handiwork. The Fair also requires that the artist himself staffs his booth - so customers get the special opportunity to talk directly with the maker. It's the largest Fair in Israel, a must-see for tourists from abroad, as well as Israelis.

Tel Aviv is a bustling, young city with a food scene heavily influenced by the countries that surround it, as well as a focus of vegetarian/vegan food. In this episode, we partnered with Delicious Israel to learn about the origin of the food, the fresh ingredients used and the best places to find them. Inbal, the founder of Delicious Israel, showed us all around the Carmel Market, and located some AWESOME street food & hidden gems inside. Thank you Inbal and Delicious Israel! We started our day with Sabich for breakfast, a very popular street food you can eat almost any time of the day (so healthy!), and then a Turkish dessert, Malebi with Arabic coffee. Then, we enter the Carmel Market to sample some local spices and enjoy two types of hummus. Next, Inbal takes us to a local kitchen to eat Yemini food, a bread that is fried with egg and with hummus and zhug (SPICY!). We then try Syrian cookies, and stopped by a stall making fresh pitas. We end the day with a fresh, street-side falafel. All food featured in this video was paid for in full by us.

Carmel Market Tel Aviv
Carmel Market (Hebrew: שוק הכרמל, Shuk HaCarmel) is a marketplace in Tel Aviv, Israel.
The market is bordered by Allenby Street and Magen David Square and the market is principally located along Carmel Street (which becomes King George Street after Magen David Square), but has expanded over time to streets such as Nahalat Binyamin Street.
The market is open every day of the week, except Shabbat (Saturday), and sells mostly food but also a variety of items such as home accessories, and flowers. Tuesdays and Fridays are the signature days at the market as several independent artists and vendors sell unique crafts, art, and jewellery along Nahalat Binyamin Street.

My name is Zahi Shaked
In 2000 I became a registered liscenced tourist guide.
My dedication in life is to pass on the ancient history of the Holy Land.
Following upon many years of travel around the world, which was highlighted by a very exciting emotional and soul-searching meeting with the Dalai Lama, I realized that I had a mission. To pass on the the history of the Holy Land, its religions, and in particular, the birth and development of Christianity.
In order to fulfill this calling in the best way possible, I studied in depth, visited, and personally experienced each and every important site of the ancient Christians. I studied for and received my first bachelors degree in the ancient history of the Holy Land, and am presently completing my studies for my second degree.(Masters)
Parralel to my studies, and in order to earn a living, I was employed for many years in advertising. What I learned there was how to attract the publics attention, generate and, increase interest, and assimilate information. All this I use as tools to describe, explain and deepen the interest in the sites that we visit. From my experience, I have learned that in this way, the Holy Land becomes more than just history, and that the large stones that we see scattered about in dissaray, join together one by one until they become - a Byzantine Church. This also happens when I lead a group of Pilgrims in the Steps of Jesus. We climb to the peak of Mount Precipice, glide over the land to the Sea of Galilee, land on the water and see the miracle which enfolds before us. This is a many faceted experience. Not only history which you will remember and cherish, but an experience which I hope will be inplanted in your hearts and minds, and will accompany you all the days of your life.

Tel Aviv Crafts Fair
Tel Aviv's Nahalat Binyamin arts and crafts fair is the largest of its kind in Israel.
Every Tuesday and Friday, rain or shine, handpicked artists and craftspeople of all stripes set up booths in one of Tel Aviv's oldest neighborhoods, Nahalat Binyamin. Here in the textile district of the Mediterranean city is where everyone is welcome to browse Israel's largest selection of handmade items.
One of the rules of the market is that the artists must man their own kiosks. That gives them a great opportunity to form personal relationships with customers, who come from far and wide and number as many as 10,000 per week.
Some of the 200 artists sew, paint or sculpt their wares right on the spot, made to order.
