14 July in Krasnoyarsk House of artists will open international art exhibition Siberia-Europe Continent. the name itself has defined the scope of the cultural interests of the new continent which was formed thanks to the emergence and development of the international art project Bridge of art
.Summer international art exhibitions in Krasnoyarsk-tradition, established thanks to the project Bridge of art. It brings together artists of the Krasnoyarsk region and a number of European countries. The project will be a lot of joint creative expeditions and exhibitions. In the exhibition the continent of Siberia-Europe will feature 60 works in the following directions: painting, graphics, decorative and applied arts. Participants are artists from Turkey, Slovakia, Spain and Russia. Art exhibitions and presentations, workshops and master classes by professionals of art-art-all this awaits visitors to the cycle Pont des Arts.
the project this year, traditionally held the international plein-air, during which the participants put their creative vision. the combined group of artists will travel to Altai to work together on the banks of Lake Teletskoye. as a result of the plein air exhibition will be on display in Europe, the Krasnoyarsk and Altai Krai.

Artists compete at Siberian ice sculpture festival

An ice sculpture festival is taking place in the freezing city of Krasnoyarsk in Siberia.
Magical ice of Siberia saw 58 sculptors create art in temperatures reaching almost -30 degrees.
STORYLINE
Despite the bitter cold in Siberia, artists from Asia and Europe gathered at the ice and snow sculpture festival in the Russian city of Krasnoyarsk.
The festival Magical ice of Siberia is traditionally held in the coldest month in Russia, January, when temperatures could drop below -30 Celsius.
This year it was -27 degrees Celsius (-17 Fahrenheit), and the organisers postponed the part of the competition for children and youth to late February.
However, 58 professional sculptors from Japan, Latvia, Belarus and various Russian regions have not been afraid of the cold and came to Krasnoyarsk, to test themselves.
We came at night of 5th (January), it was -27 (Celsius). Indeed, it was very cold. We got off bus and realised there was not enough air for us, says Olga Zhadetskaya, a sculptor from Belarus, adding: We had troubles with tools. The chainsaw didn't start due to the frost, it didn't want to work.
In these conditions, instruments the sculptors use for carving, such as chainsaws, fretsaws, and grinders sometimes failed, and the participants mostly had to work manually.
However, they found the weather perfect as the cold snow holds any form it is moulded into and water freezes immediately when it is used as a glue for ice pieces.
An additional advantage was the crystal blue ice, which according to organisers is due to the Yeniseli river which is one of the cleanest in the world.
Most creations are abstract, but highly meaningful.
For example, the team from Japan depicted the love on the planet: We are making the sculpture called The book about love. From this book a woman flies out. Another woman, the second figure, supports her. Together they symbolise love. And the book is the globe. So the love reigns on the globe, Mido Harada, a sculptor from Japan, explains.
This is the sixth time the festival has been held in Krasnoyarsk and it's always eagerly awaited by residents.
The sculptures are also greatly admired by visitors, but the meaning behind certain masterpieces is not self-explanatory:
The only thing is that the first one (sculpture) is not very clear, Collective mind. But the rest is understandable, Galina Kornaukhova, a visitor, says.
The festival is not only an exhibition but also a contest: the sculptors competed in two categories - the best snow creation and the best ice creation.
For professionals there also important technical issues to be solved so as to put this vast mass of ice onto a thin bow, onto small paws, to balance it. Here the resistance of materials, physics are used. Philosophy (the message) is also not in the last place, Sergei Nikolayev, winner of the best ice sculpture says.
The winners are the team Ice Edge for their ice sculpture A key to any door and the family team of the Petukhovs for their snow sculpture Fishing Season.
Both are from Russia and were awarded 100 thousand rubles (around 2000 US dollars) each. Other participants also received prizes such as carving tools.
The beautiful snow and ice figures are not long-lasting, unfortunately they will disappear when the first warm day comes.
In the changeable Siberian climate it could happen at anytime, even in the winter.

Elena Salnikova was born in Voronezh in 1970
She began to engage in the art studio with eight years. After graduating from art school in Voronezh arrived in Lipetsk State Pedagogical Institute in the graphic arts department, who graduated with honors in 1993.
Since 1995 she has worked and participated in art exhibitions in Voronezh. After her first solo exhibition was invited to work on the painting of St. Seraphim of Sarov (hut – baptistery at the Church of Our Lady of Kazan city of Voronezh). From 1995 to 2000, she led a team of artists working on painting. Since 2004, she lived and worked in Orekhovo-Zuyevo City.
Her works are kept in the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour, Moscow, in the Historical and Art Museum, Dolgoprudny, Moscow region, in Znamenskoye district local history museum of the Tambov region, in private collections in Russia and abroad.
Major exhibitions:
1995 – 1998, she took part in all the art exhibitions of the Voronezh branch of the Union of Artists of Russia.
1995 – The first solo exhibition of paintings in the scientific regional library. Nikitin. When she received the invitation of the Orthodox Church on the mural in the church.
1995 – 2000 of – creative work – painting the Temple of St. Seraphim of Sarov (hut – baptistery at the Church of Our Lady of Kazan Voronezh). He led a team of artists.
1997 – personal exhibition in the Diagnostic center of the city of Voronezh.
1998 – personal exhibition in the Historical Museum of Art Dolgoprudny, Moscow region.
2003 – exhibition in the gallery “Elena” CHA Moscow
2003 – participation in the 13th exhibition of painting “Golden Brush” New Manege Moscow
2005 – personal exhibition at the Moscow International Salon “Habitat” CHA Moscow
2005 – participant 2 – All-Russian art exhibition devoted to 300 – anniversary of the birth of Bishop St Joasaph of Belgorod, Belgorod.
2006 – took part in the 4th Festival of Fine Arts “Moscow – the city of peace” in interethnic competition for young artists. Borodino Panorama Moscow
Since 2005 – he participated in all art exhibitions Orekhovo – Zuevo branch of the Union of Artists of Russia.
2011. – Personal exhibition of painting and drawing at the Museum “House of Gogol.” Moscow

Ekaterinburg Museum of Fine Arts. Ekaterinburg, Russia
The Ekaterinburg Museum of Fine Arts was established in 1936. Nowadays, it has two branches. One is located in the reconstructed building of the local railway factory's hospital, and the other – in the former house of merchant Bardygin – undergoes reconstruction now.
The museum has collections of the West European Arts of the XIV-XIX centuries, the Russian Arts of the XVII – early XX centuries, Russian avant-garde; the modern naïve art is next to the well-known Urals casting art and jewelry by local artists.
The key masterpiece is the Kasli cast-iron pavilion, which was made for the International Exhibition in Paris in 1900, and which is on the UNESCO list of history and culture monuments. The collection also has works by Russian avant-garde artists Kazimir Malevich, Natalia Nesterova and Mikhail Larionov, Wassily Kandinsky and others.
The museum invites visitors to exhibitions, master classes, musical evenings, concerts, lectures, author tours and artistic meetings.

Russia Travel in Kazan (or каза́нь ) is an important city and the capital of Tatarstan, Russia. WE FOUND AN ABANDONED SOVIET MILITARY BARRACKS IN RUSSIA
In this Episode of our Adventure along the Trans-Siberian Railway in Russia, we arrive in Vladivostok in Primorsky Krai after 80 hours on the train from Ulan-Ude, and head out into the deep green wilderness.
Here, we meet some friends and explore Russia's beautiful landscape. While doing so, we encountered an abandoned military barracks. I had heard a lot about the abandoned Soviet Military Bases in eastern Europe, and even went urban exploring a military bunker once, but nothing like this.
After we returned to the camp, and caught fresh seafood with our hands, made a pasta, and drank around a campfire. The perfect day.
A bit of a background story. This is a train journey of 10,000 km across Russia, the biggest country in the world. 25 days to visit Saint Petersburg, Moscow, Kazan, Yekaterinburg, Krasnoyarsk, Ulan-Ude, and Vladivostok.

Dmitri Hvorostovsky-Dmitri Aleksandrovich Hvorostovsky( born 16 October 1962), is a leading baritone opera singer from Russia.
Hvorostovsky was born in Krasnoyarsk in Siberia. He studied at the Krasnoyarsk School of Arts under Yekatherina Yofel and made his debut at Krasnoyarsk Opera House, in the role of Marullo in Rigoletto. He went on to win First Prize at both the Russian Glinka Competition in 1987 and the Toulouse Singing Competition in 1988. Hvorostovsky came to international prominence in 1989 when he won the BBC Cardiff Singer of the World competition, beating local favorite Bryn Terfel in the final round. His performance included Handel's Ombra mai fu and Per me giunto...O Carlo ascolta from Verdi's Don Carlo. His international concert recitals began immediately (London debut, 1989; New York 1990).
His operatic debut in the West was at the Nice Opera in The Queen of Spades (1989). In Italy he debuted at La Fenice as Eugene Onegin, a success that sealed his reputation, and made his American operatic debut with the Lyric Opera of Chicago (1993) in La traviata.
He has since sung at virtually every major opera house, including the Metropolitan Opera (debut 1995), the Royal Opera House at Covent Garden, the Berlin State Opera, La Scala and the Vienna State Opera. He is especially renowned for his portrayal of the title character in Tchaikovsky's Eugene Onegin; The New York Times described him as born to play the role
In 2002, Hvorostovsky performed at the Russian Children's Welfare Society's major fund raiser, the Petroushka Ball. He is an Honorary Director of the charity.
A tall man with a striking head of prematurely silver hair, Hvorostovsky has achieved international acclaim as an opera performer as well as a concert artist. He was cast in People magazine's 50 most beautiful people, a rare occurrence for a classical musician. His high, medium-weight voice has the typical liquid timbre of Russian baritones.
In recent years Hvorostovsky's stage repertoire has almost entirely consisted of Verdi operas such as Un ballo in maschera, La traviata and Simon Boccanegra; he has also appeared in Rigoletto and Il trovatore in a David McVicar production at The Met with Sondra Radvanovsky.
Igor Krutoy-Igor Yakovlevich Krutoy born on July 29, 1954, is a Russian composer of Ukrainian descent, performer, producer and musical promoter.Krutoy was awarded the Lenin Komsomol Prize in 1989. On March 24, 2011 the New York Post reported that Krutoy purchased a $48 million home at the Plaza Hotel in Manhattan—the highest price ever paid for a single condo unit in New York.
Krutoy is head of ARS owns 25% of Muz-TV which plays Russian pop music videos. Since 2002 ARS also organizes the New Wave (competition) for young performers of popular music with Raimonds Pauls and Alla Pugacheva. As a management agency ARS has signed artists such as Sopho Khalvashi.
