Mountainburg to Artist Point
This is a clip of old highway 71 in Arkansas, USA.
Waterfall at Artist Point, Arkansas
Me @ Artist Point in Arkansas
this was taken on 9-11-17 this place has been opened for over 65 years it is located on Hwy US 71 between Moutianburg and Winslow. Not sure how long it will remain open due to the owners age, and the fact that people would prefer to drive I-49 and not stop to smell the roses.

Interstate 49 - Alma to Bella Vista - Arkansas | Drive America's Highways ????
???? Drive America's Highways for 72 miles north along Interstate 49 from Alma to Bella Vista in Arkansas ????
We start the video merging onto Interstate 49 in Arkansas at it's southern terminus* at Interstate 40 in Alma. Continuing through the scenic Boston Mountains and paralleling U.S. Highway 71, we drive through the towns of Mountainburg, and Artist Point before driving through the Bobby Hopper Tunnel just before Winslow.
Continuing north, we pass the town of West Fork before reaching the outer regions of the Fayetteville metro area. Soon, we reach Fayetteville proper where I-49 makes a horseshoe bend at the Fullbright Expressway interchange before turning north once again and leaving the city.
Passing through Springdale, Lowell and Rogers, we soon reach Bentonville -- the home of Walmart. On the northern side of Bentonville, Interstate 49 and US-71 merge to continue into Bella Vista, and Arkansas Highway 549 continues northwest at an interchange. We end the video just past this interchange at a signal on the city line.
*Interstate 49 is a work in progress in Arkansas. There is a segment in the southwest corner of the state by Texarkana that has it's own mileage system. There is also a small segment near Ft. Chaffee and Fort Smith that continues the southwest segments mileage. The portion of I-49 in this video is on the northwest corner of the state and was once Interstate 540 and has different mileage than the southwest segment. Because of this, we are labeling the southern terminus as Interstate 40 in Alma.
Note: This video was filmed in the summer of 2017 and contains several construction projects which are complete as of June 2018. We will be revisiting this route in the near future .

Gyroplanes, Artist Point Trail-Falls, Lower White River Museum, Blue Spring Heritage Center
Resembling the Jetsons flying car...the 21st century gyroplane is a personal aircraft that's currently being sold in more than forty countries. We take a test drive in one, zooming through the Ozarks. Artist Point along Hwy 71 north of Mountainburg offers one of the most spectacular views in NW Arkansas. The trail leads hikers to Artist Point Falls. The Lower White River Museum State Park in Des Arc portrays the vital role of a river-based economy as pioneers and early settlers migrated west. Blue Spring Heritage Center near Eureka Springs is the second largest spring in the state. It's also the location of an Ozark Bluff Shelter, whose inhabitants occupied the site some 10,000 years ago. The spring and the shelter are along the path of the Trail of Tears.

Walking Petit Jean Canyon Trail
This footage comes from Petit Jean State Park in Arkansas, USA. This is one (almost) continuous shot while I was walking along the Canyon Trail on 5/28/2016 at 12:40pm with a Samsung Galaxy S6 at 1080p 30fps with video stabilization on. This video does not cover the entire 1 mile trail. To get to the trail, you must first descend 200 feet down steep stone steps that are wet in some spots. Once you've descended the steps, you cross a bridge that cautions there can be no more than two people on the bridge at once.
In addition to the rushing water to the left of the trail, you can hear my dog's collar and my wife talking to our dog.
Petit Jean State Park is Arkansas's first state park. You can learn more about Petit Jean State Park and the Canyon Trail on the official site here:

White Rock Mountain Arkansas
White Rock Mountain is one of the tallest mountains of the Boston Mountains which made up the Ozarks in Arkansas. Travelers can see the Boston Mountains along Interstate 540 between Fort Smith and Fayetteville, Arkansas. To get to White Rock Mountain from Fort Smith, take Interstate 540 North then merge onto Interstate 40 East. Travel on Interstate 40 East until you see exit 24-Mulberry, take the exit. Turn left into North 125 and go about 6 miles, you will see a small community named Fern. There is a 3-way, which both directions can also take you to White Rock Mountain.
The way on the right is easier to get there, but this road was closed before due to bad condition, so you must know the other way as well. The way on the right, keep going straight until you see another 3-way, turn left where it says Shores Lake. You will run into gravel road soon. Go about 3-4 mile until you hit another 3-way. Turn left towards White Rock Mountain. From there will be easy.
The way on the left at Fern. There will be a lot of gravel road on this one. Keep going straight until you hit a paved road, turn right at that road. Then you will run onto gravel road again. Keep going even the road seems to get smaller. then you will hit another 3-way (I don't remember there is a stop sign), turn right again. Now to steep hill gravel road. Do not drive too fast because your tires will not have friction on the road if you step on the brake, and you might end up on the side of the road or down the ditch. From there just going straight.
There is another way from Mountainburg, Arkansas. But I never took that route before, so I don't know the direction. But I see sign says Mountainburg when heading out of White Rock Mountain, and met some people who took that way down from Fayetteville.
Overall, it is a beautiful place to visit, especially during the Fall. Ozark Highland trail is one of the longest trails in Arkansas. One more reason that it is best to visit during the Fall is that bears are not so active during the Fall. Trust me I once saw a bear crossing the road while I was driving up there during early summer.
Enjoy the beauties of White Rock Mountain. But always remember to be careful all the time. I also had to help a husband carry out his wife because she had a broken ankle. I do not want to scare you. Just to remind you to be careful. It's not too difficult to hike around, unless you really want to hike down the bottom of the cliff. Yes, there is a trail right bellow the clip that you can hike to a couple of caves. I heard there is a cave with Indians' caving right below the main vista, but I didn't get there yet; maybe another time
