Summer camp program for ages 7-17 at Arts Commons.


The SummerACT program at Arts Commons focuses on developing your child's creativity, imagination, self-confidence, critical thinking and collaboration skills in a safe, inspiring and supportive environment at Calgary's premier performing arts centre.

SummerACT provides engaging activities that include all aspects of the performing arts -- drama, dance, music and visual art.

At the end of each camp, students will present their work in front of family and friends in a professional venue at Arts Commons. An amazing experience for you and your child!

Camps are taught by experienced artists and arts educators who bring their passion and proficiency to this unique experience resulting in a week full of fun while gaining new skills.

Several arts groups in Calgary have sent an open letter to Arts Commons demanding it cancel an event involving controversial University of Toronto professor Jordan Peterson later this week. Peterson is scheduled to give a lecture at the Jack Singer Concert Hall on Friday. The professor, who is also an author, has spoken out about Bill C-16, which provides protections for transgender Canadians. Arts leaders, business leaders, artists, civil society leaders, and students joined us for a day of conversation and action on how arts and culture can foster inclusion and belonging.
