2018 Maebashi Exhibition in Japan
This is my first exhibition in about three years! The main difference between this one and the 2015 exhibitions is the format of the prints. These are canvas prints made and imported from a company in American named, Imagekind. They are approximately 80cm x 60cm (32 x 24). The images are actually printed on a canvas material and then stretched over wooden frames. They looked great and the size really had a powerful impact.
The Title Cards of the images, when lifted, showed a smaller image of the location where the art photo was taken. When the visitors understood the viewing method of first looking at the image and then looking at the location photo, it was very rewarding for me to hear their surprised reactions and comments.
This was not a solo exhibition. It was held at the “Gunma Life Study Center” in Maebashi, Japan and I was delighted to be invited by a great group of photographers from the Maebashi photo club, “V.S.P.” V.S.P. stands for Vitality, Speciality and Personality. Their names are: Yoshihisa Kawakami; Masao Yoda; Takeo Kato; Yoshio Kurabayashi; Mikio Nagai; Mutsuko Namiki and the president of the club, exhibition coordinator and my good friend, Akira Kosaka. I am so very grateful for their generous support, kindness and camaraderie.

The Brooklyn Of Tokyo, Daikanyama! // Solo Travel Japan Vlog #11
In today's Japan vlog, I head to the upmarket district of Daikanyama - known as the 'Brooklyn of Tokyo'!
I may not have been to Brooklyn before, but the upmarket, effortlessly cool vibe of Daikanyama definitely transported me there - with a tonne of cute boutiques and backstreets, and the most gorgeous bookstore I've ever seen, if you have a spare day in Tokyo and want a relaxing district to explore, look no further!
But before I headed there, I had to make a stop at a dentist in Aoyama - you never expect to do something as mundane as go to the DENTIST while you're on holiday in Tokyo, but it was sooo lucky that I was able to find an english-speaking clinic!
