Tour of Giant Tetsujin 28 In Kobe Japan

Tetsujin 28 At Shin Nagata Kobe is a must see free tourist attraction for fans of Japanese Manga. This is a giant robot statue dedicated to a 1960's cartoon called Tetsujin 28 go. It is 18 meters tall. Tetsujin 28 was built in honor of the 15th anniversary of the Great Hanshin earthquake that destroyed many parts of Kobe on January 17th, 1995.

Buddhist Monuments in the Horyu ji Area / Tourist Destination Japan

The Buddhist Monuments in the Horyu-ji Area are located in Nara Prefecture. The property consists of forty-eight ancient wooden structures located at the two temples sites, twenty-one at Horyu-ji temple and Hokki-ji temple. The Horyu-ji temple covers an area of 14.6 hectares and the smaller Hokki-ji Temple 0.7 hectares. The two sites are surrounded by a single buffer zone measuring 570.7 hectares.

Izumo, Iwami Ginzan and Gonokawa River Trail

Izumo is a city at Shimane Prefecture on Japan’s Honshu Island. It's known for Izumo-taisha, a sprawling Shinto shrine. The Shimane Museum of Ancient Izumo explores the site’s history, which dates back to the 8th century. Nearby, the Former Taisha Station is a 1920s rail terminal built in the Imperial Crown Style. On the coast, Hinomisaki Lighthouse overlooks the Sea of Japan. South, Tachikue Gorge is home to scores of Buddhist statues.

The Iwami Ginzan was an underground silver mine in the city of Ōda, It was the largest silver mine in Japanese history. It was active for almost four hundred years, from its discovery in 1526 to its closing in 1923.

The Gōnokawa River is a river that runs through Hiroshima and Shimane prefectures in Japan. It is the largest river in the Chūgoku region. It is also called the Gōgawa River and, in Hiroshima, the Enokawa River. The mainstream originates from Mount Asa located in Kitahiroshima, Hiroshima.

Tiltakozó megemlékezést szervezett a Hirosimára ledobott atombomba ellen a Magyar Kommunista Munkáspárt, az új Ronald Reagan szobor előtt, a budapesti Szabadság-téren.
A fiatalok minden megjelent kezébe egy kicsi, vörös darumadár figurát adtak.
Felszólalt Benyovszky Gábor a párt KB tagja, a Semleges Magyarországért Alapítvány nevében dr. Hajdú József, dr. Thürmer Gyula a párt elnöke.
A rendezvényt Fogarasi Zsuzsanna vezette.
Az esemény nagy feltűnést keltett a megjelent magyar és külföldi látogatók körében.

Japan Trip 2013 Tokyo Inokashira Zoo Name is Hanako Asian elephant 175

1954年3月5日、「はな子」は上野動物園から井の頭自然文化園に移された[5]。
March 5, 1954, Hanako was transferred to Inokashira Park Zoo from Ueno Zoo.[5]

しかし、1956年、深夜にゾウ舎に侵入した酔客を死亡させる事故が起き、さらに4年後の1960年4月にも男性飼育員を踏み殺す事故が起きた。
However, in 1956, an accident that kills drunken person that invaded the elephant house in the middle of the night occurs, even more in April 1960 after years 4 accidents kill stepping on male keeper happened.

このため、「はな子」は前脚を鎖で繋がれゾウ舎内に閉じ込められ、ストレスなどからやせ細った。
For this reason, Hanako is confined in the elephant house connected the front legs in the chain, it was emaciated from such stress.

事故の2か月後に井の頭自然文化園に赴任し、「はな子」の飼育係となった山川清蔵は、「はな子」を鎖からはずし、運動場に出した。

山川は退職までの約30年にわたって「はな子」の世話をし、その様子は、書籍やテレビドラマにもなった[6]。

ゾウの歯はもともと4本しかないが、「はな子」は1980年代に歯が抜け落ちて、左下の1本しか残っていない。

Such a shame this elephant died in such a small concrete enclosure in Japan and the petition to get her better conditions only started last year. But they did live to a grand old age.
