Lives remembered during Asan Overlook Ceremony
The Asan Bay Overlook Memorial Monument tells the story
of the events leading up to Guam's Liberation. With the storming of
U.S soldiers on Guam's shores on July 21st, 1944 marked the day the
people of Guam will never forget, as they first witnessed U.S. troops
at the overlook. The Asan Bay monument standing tall in Nimitz Jill,
signifies the two groups of people in uniform, and in rags who came
together for liberty's sake... Today a memorial service was held to
honor these people responsible for our freedom.
